Western Germany, March 1964... The last Great War rages on. Madness at the front lines. Men butchering each other. War-torn Europe stands ripped apart by a front line that runs straight through the heart of Germany where American and Western European troops battle against enemy forces.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

definitely a little rough around the edges, but overall still a solid experience. The game seems to run consistently, no crashes and no need for third party patches, shooting is what you'd expect, point and click. Checkpoints CAN be pretty generous (dependent on the level) and can save the game at any given time. Gameplay just bleeds early 2000's, Backtracking, visual cues for progression, lacks that handholding tutorial most games seem to have nowadays. Features both a first and third person modes and both behave differently. Iron storm sends you right into the action, Most of the weapons can be obtained in the first mission (no sense of progression with weapons, few exceptions though) The levels seems to be more non-linear to games of the era. It's not open by any means, just usually a few routes to reach your destination. There's a handful of enemies, the generic goon that shoots back, gradually increasing in gear as the levels progress. The eurojank is obvious within the first few minutes, but its evidently clear 4X had love and ambition for this title, and it shows, the game just takes some patience. oh and don't play on realistic (and i like getting the shaft)

finished the game on realistic difficulty and enjoyed my time in the trenches. i played about 10 hours but this game doesn't properly record game time so i only have 5 mins so i can review it. in this game any headshot on any difficulty will result in an instant death, if you aren't up for dying this way a lot of time this won't be that much fun, and generally im kinda conflicted on if i really would recommend it or not because of the difficulty and confusion present throughout the game, but ultimately it is a decent old game for anyone wanting to play a trench warfare type game. for the most part what i enjoy most about this game is the 2000's atmosphere encapsulated within this game, and sometimes it borders on a horror atmosphere where the only noises around you are your own guns or the nearby beeps of computers and machinery, the game also features a flashlight to enhance the atmosphere in darker areas. it is kinda odd that the developers decided to add a 3rd person mode into the game since it clearly isn't a good way to play, and this 3rd person mode seems to have been the reason behind the strange key mapping choices as well, even the trailer doesn't quite seem to know how to play in 3rd person, although it does seem like the atmosphere can be equally enjoyed in both 1st person and 3rd person due to the jank and difficulty present in 3rd person that games really wouldn't wanna replicate today. this game has quite a bit of back tracking, especially in the late game where you are required to back track multiple times, sometimes it can be confusing where you are supposed to go next, actually, it happens more than sometimes, a decent portion of the late game ended up being taken by me watching a walkthrough so i could properly see where to go next, this game does give hints from your headpiece, enemies, and computers, but stuff like "find 2 hidden buttons on this train" or simply having to shoot certain things without clear direction isn't great in terms of game design overall. this is also kylotonn's first ever game, came out before bet on soldier, and many elements of this game do certainly show up in B.O.S., difficulty included, though those games are generally more polished and a bit more fun to play since they clearly gained experience from this game, one nice feature in this game was being able to review some previous messages that where told to you, which is a feature i really miss in other games as i like to listen to certain dialogues multiple times. the story was quite interesting, and a lot more cohesive than B.O.S. despite the game series being set in the same universe, generally the story is about powerful people wanting to continue the war forever so the war economy/stocks would keep rising and they will fight to keep it that way, and your story doesn't really end up overlapping with the bigger narrative as the game ends before you truly make a dent in the war empire, this tragic story still gets a thumbs up from me. this game also has good voice acting and english subtitles in english, german and russian, which is surprising since kylotonn's next game B.O.S. has pretty weak voice acting overall, i figured that was mostly stemming from them being a french developer but since this game has good voice acting im not sure what happened for their next projects to be underwhelming in this department. this game is technically has a different version called "world war zero" but there seems to be quite a bit of differences between them and the other version seems more liked anyways. i would say this game is worth the full price since its just so cheap, and it does have a decent amount of gameplay within itself, but it is a question of if you would really enjoy the gameplay of quicksave quickload before each encounter.
The game is nice, but if you actually wanna complete it, you most likely will need a guide. It's hard in some sections and buggy. There's a part where you have to go to different floors using an elevator and pressing the buttons is hell. If you try pressing the 1st floor button, it selects the 3rd or 4th. I might just be stupid but it took me so long trying to go to floor 0. Some enemies are a bit too hard sometimes, and there's some that just are godmode. I had to find out the hard way that infinitely stabbing an invincible soldier won't kill him. My game crashed numerous times when trying to use the tvs to check news and location of enemies (I know it's an old game but it was just annoying to see.) Also heads up if you wanna use steam overlay and let steam actually track your hours, the normal exe of the game doesn't use steam overlay so use a guide, there's an easy fix. The plot of the game is really nice in my opinion. I rate this game a 8/10 for the plot and lore, 5/10 mechanics and gameplay.

Wow... Kojima stole idea od war ecconomy from this game, fr.
Fun game with a great alternative history story. Game got rushed back in the day and has some difficulty spikes. Even with its weird difficulty spikes and some bugs it's still a nice game to play.
