Iron Crypticle is ass compared to its predecessor below.. Level up to build your health and stats COOL Chain combos into upgrades!!: Not really, instead you are grabbing 8-10 objects that disappear in 10 sec.. That sounds fine & fair, till you are also facing plant enemies that track and auto aim Paralysis pellets.. So you are shooting & dodging walls of enemies, and if you get hit once, or grab items too slow you have to do it all over again.. All just to get a "RNG" upgrade I REPEAT You do not get to BUILD your layout: 1 speed 2 weapon fire 3 player movement 4 damage upgrade. RINSE REPEAT till BOSS Battle with Spam fire and pattern based based bosses And Permadath and some unlocks provided you can even level up far enough to even reach If that sounds like a "fun time" Mastering collecting things with out being hit, while shot at, slowed down, and finding the right cluster of enemies; all while dodging traps, and guessing which food adds to the multiplier and which ones don't. THEN this is your game.. ------ *But wait* https://store.steampowered.com/app/306700/Iron_Fisticle/ But if you want If you want Smash TV Play Iron Fisticle ^^ instead Iron Fisticle is a fun home based arcade experience :D Long story short.. Iron Crypticle is just the sour taste of metal when you waste too many coins at an arcade, it just leaves you feeling like you are getting mixed signals.. just ripped off, disappointed, wasted and confused.. It's not much fun after 1.5 hrs of dancing in this devs nightmare of a fever dream game concept. ~_~ TL;DR This game "Upgrade" feels like the developer was rushed either to pay his bills at gunpoint or forced in time crunch by the publisher. Just Avoid it.. Sale no sale Just avoid it This WAS smash TV till they decided to throw up all over the first concept.. Scaling issues Gameplay fun drain Even Binding of Issac is a far more fun experience and I HATE that game
айрон фистикл, на четверых !
I enjoy it, it is very much like the Smash TV SNES game but better graphics and gameplay! Works great on the Deck!
This is now a revised review after playing the game extensively and having more of a comparison between Iron Fisticle and Iron Crypticle. Iron Crypticle is still Iron Fisticle, with few changes in between and there are some good things about that. The visuals got a little more cleaner and crispier. The map is pretty large with more to go through, some pathways to select, find minigames, chest rooms and more within until you reach the boss. There's a nice little store that you visit that's ran by a cat, other than just a random pop up list in Fisticle. The mini game is a lot better, where you're running to collect bonus coins. Instead of just one path that continually scrolls as you go, the new revised mini game actually gives you a reason to collect as many as you can since a tall crusher comes from behind. There's more room to add more players in Iron Crypticle, granted if you ever find any. Each player will have their own dedicated window that mirrors the primary player as well. I cannot speak too much on this feature since I know that I won't really find anyone to play this with but I imagine it's pretty fun, but it's there. The controls on the control pad feel just as comfortably the same as in Iron Fisticle, though a little more cumbersome which I'll get to in a bit. That's honestly all of the good things that I can find in comparing the two. The experience is flourished and fleshed out to give you the feel of a double take between both games. But is Iron Crypticle as fun as Iron Fisticle? Some of the bad changes that I've noticed in Crypticle seem to include that first to get more weapons, you've got to unlock them. They're not as readily available as they were in the first game. Then one annoying thing about the weapons is that your default weapons always get the frankie enemies in one hit. What I don't understand is that the other weapons, most particularly spread shot ones, appear to take more than one hit to down even the weakest enemies. I don't know about you, but I've actually found Iron Crypticle to be more of a chore to chip at than I've ever found Iron Fisticle to be. Feeling pressured to finish rooms up even though you've got a half room's worth of enemies to take down, as dozens of projectiles and mortars are launched by the blue flowers are coming at you simultaneously. It creates this difficulty where unfairness is right on the edge. I've even had problems trying to beat it on Easy! Where I'm finding the occurring problem with Iron Crypticle is that - none of what you gain or do matters. You do get power ups, about the same from the first game, but they aren't drastically in play on Crypticle. The only way things can feel like the odds are evened is when you collect BONUS or all of the rainbow gems. Except they only are good for just one room you're currently in and when you collect the final pieces at the time. And not being able to carry over those power ups after you complete a floor? Really, guys? It's just back to square one, isn't it? Why the grinding feeling? Case and point, Iron Crypticle freshened up Iron Fisticle with a nice graphical facelift and flourished on some of the features in better execution. However, the gameplay got tinkered with and now it's a broken tedious chore where difficulty and in-game gain matters little. That's the back steps that were taken here and are deal breakers. Can't recommend. Iron Fisticle felt more fun, even with it's simplicity.
The middleground between smash TV and Gauntlet, a little slower and easier than SmashTV, but that's because this isn't a quarter-cruncher.
Just couldn't get into this. The rooms are huge, your movement speed is really slow, and the game really wants you to pick up item drops in rapid succession before they dissappear to combo which just doesn't feel good given how spread out the rooms are and how slow you move. I suspect that this is to accommodate 4 players (which, to be fair, is probably more fun) but playing it solo just felt like a chore.
Iron Crypticle!
Iron Crypticle es un fantástico arcade al estilo de Smash TV con toques de rol. Su música es muy buena, se puede jugar de hasta 4 personas y es un juego muy adictivo. Recomendado 100% 😍 😍 😍
Outstanding arcade twinstick style shooter. The design of this game is absolutely perfect. Plenty of gauntlet and ghouls and ghosts references. Love it 10/10
