About

The world is dead. The state has collapsed. In a forgotten Eastern Bloc town, you are alone but not truly alone. Something stirs beyond the walls, and none of it means you well. You have only one reason to keep going: survive long enough to find your wife, Valeria. But in the cold and darkness of this unforgiving night, will you ever make it back to her?

In the hellish streets of this Eastern Bloc town, every bullet matters. There are ways to fight back, but survival demands more than firepower. Use the weapons at your disposal to clear a path, scavenge tools to overcome the obstacles ahead, and avoid unnecessary confrontations whenever you can.

Iron Blight aims to deliver an immersive gameplay experience built around atmosphere, vulnerability, and the crushing weight of isolation. Every bullet matters, and the sound of gunfire may draw even more horrors to your position. Even something as simple as opening a locked door demands thought. You must manage your food and medical supplies, move cautiously through the streets, and always consider what might be waiting around the next corner.
True Survival Horror Gameplay: Navigate desolate streets and claustrophobic interiors, where danger lurks around every corner. Solve puzzles and face the terrors that will force a choice: fight, flee, or die.
Resource Scarcity and Tension: Resources are scarce. Do you risk using your last bullet to take down a monster, or do you save it for a more critical moment and hope to slip past unnoticed?
Diegetic Grid-Based Inventory: Every single item matters, and space is a luxury you can't afford. Carefully manage your limited inventory grid, making agonizing choices about what to carry and what to leave behind.
No HUD, No Distractions: No health bars, no ammo counters, no intrusive menus. Every piece of information is conveyed through your character and the world around you. Your only interface is your own perception.
A Unique Weapon System: Check your magazines manually, round by precious round, and reload with deliberate, step-by-step actions. Every firefight becomes a tense test of your nerves and skill.
A Bleak and Oppressive Atmosphere: Rain-slick cobblestones and flickering fluorescent lights lead you deeper into a town that feels cold, hostile, and suffocating. The distant cries of things that should not exist echo through its desolate streets.
A Return to Forgotten Horror Traditions: Fear comes from the atmosphere, the gnawing uncertainty, and the constant presence of death. The story is told through the environment itself, and combat is a slow, methodical dance where every shot matters.

This game is solid. It had a couple odd bugs, but they weren't game breaking. Combat felt good it had its learning curve with melee weapons put picked up fast. story line was good could have been fleshed out a little more.
Amazing game, still needs more bugfixes.
Jogo muito bom, recomendo!

it has all what a survival horror needs, despite the low graphics.. better than many others
Pretty straight forward game, although it has a fantastic atmosphere for such a low poly game. It sunk its hooks in as soon as i got out of the first area and Ive been loving it ever since. I dont want it to end! I hope there will be more added in the future, a expansion story? A wave mode or a defend area mode? More weapons, items, maybe armor? I just would love to see more of this game, even though I havent even finished it yet I know I will soon, and then Im going to REALLY be itching for more! I highly recommend this game for its price and fun factor.
Pretty damn scary for a "normal" zombie game. Very well done, genuine moments of panic. If you're familiar with FPS games, I suggest playing on hard too. It feels appropriately difficult. Spoilers:
I wasn't huge on the ending, it felt like they ran out of ideas. I would have preferred the military got totally annihilated to a big gun-fight, a quiet walk through an empty town would have done wonders for the atmosphere.
Iron Blight's fundamental gameplay is really really good. The core of gunplay feels tense. The game has sauce. However there is one critical problem with the game. It's just too short and while it does provide a challenge in the latter half. Is easy. The plot is simple. Too simple. Survive a zombie apocalypse to get back to your wife. There are a few rare twists. And while there are a few standout setpieces, it all feels like it comes to a close way way way way too early. They've nailed every other survival horror aspect and it's all used to service a game that doesn't last very long. This could have easily been 3 times as long and really been up there as one of the great fps survival horror games. I'm serious, it really does have the sauce at times. Pumping a shotgun, cycling action and locking a hammer back adds a level of tension that other first person survival horror games lack. If you grab this game, play with Realistic Reloading. That's just a given, it really should just be the default option. The scavenging loop of finding ammo and resources is good and it keeps to the fundamentals that make the genre so solid even if it can be exploited a little too easily. There is a basic attachment system, similar to resident evil with your weapons getting progressively more and more powerful. You'll need it. The atmosphere is tense and never leaves you feel comfortable. Screaming in the distance. Footsteps nearby. The faint sounds of a music box turning. It's creepy and it's dark streets of soviet era Russia feel oppressive and are perfect for the vibe it's giving off. It's enemies are as equally oppressive, sound is to be respected in this game. It's all punctuated with a simple but fun gore system, headshots feel visceral. A shot made in a panic can blow off an arm. You will definitely have panic situations where you're force to fight with your back against the wall. A hallmark of the genre. The enemies do not get too stagnant and they are paced reasonably well for the game's runtime but it just feels like so much more could have been done. I'm left wanting more. Most of all your core lesson is that noise brings more danger, if you're openly blasting then expect a horde your way and if you aren't ready for it then you're in for a bad time. ♥♥♥♥ will inevitably go down, using the right weapon to dispatch the horde and managing your ammo feels important. It goes back to what i said earlier. This game gets the fundamentals down so right. Ultimately however, i've just got to talk about the crux. This game is so short. So. So. So. Short. It needed more. It feels shy of it's potential. Even an entire another chapter would have been enough and that can leave a very bittersweet feeling. It at least executes on it's beginning, middle and end but it feels out of reach of a truly solid recommendation. If you're a survival horror fan, go for it. It's a good ride and you'll enjoy yourself. But to anyone else, i don't know if i can. The price of admission is cheap as far as survival horror goes and it's worth the ride but it will leave you feeling bitter later for how little there is here.
