About

While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and auto saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

I do not know what happened to this game, but in the state it is in when I last played it, it is basically unplayable. Bethesda levels of a broken, glitch ridden mess. One of the major issues that seems to be causing several of the others is something in the game's engine either regarding line of sight or how the maps are built/rendered means enemies will see you and attempt to shoot you through walls from entirely different rooms, or be completely unable to see or respond to you when there's an open door between you and them or even a box or other piece of environment that's knee to waist height. Likewise, this means that weapons like the Loverboy's alternate fire (effectively McCree's "High Noon"), or the game's signature "Bowling Bomb" weapon will not be able to interact properly with those enemies either. Even beyond the multitude of issues this causes, the game itself is just not well balanced. Enemies with explosive weapons can drain your health in an instant, while enemies with projectiles like the shotgun can only chip away at you. The enemy placement is abysmal, with the map makers showing a near fetish-level of wanting to hide enemies behind any corner they can find. Areas you've already covered being repopulated, almost exclusively as you activate triggers on picking up keys and the like. These ambushes stop being ambushes partly in when it happens on every single instance they can pack it into. The enemies themselves are not well thought out, for example the cybernetic centipede. The concept is good, if you don't hit the head you can break it off and spawn a second enemy. If you do manage to attack the head with the Penetrator, which seems to light enemies on fire (not that some notice or react to it), will often cause a chain reaction to destroy the whole thing. Not always, but often. The enemy, however, absolutely cannot climb up any sort of stairs - and it's frequently placed near them so it crawls down them but can't get back up - and has other odd behavior like trying to rise upright and just falling right back down. Weapons are not well balanced as well, with the Loverboy and shotgun filling virtually the same role as the Loverboy fires three bullets at a time and the shotgun's spread is absolutely tiny, all the shots packed around a small circle. On top of that, the shotgun is also the grenade launcher, switched through alt-fire if you have the appropriate ammo types. However, this switch doesn't account for the fact that all the weapons in the game use the magazine/clip system and thus need to be reloaded, but switching between ammo types isn't considered "reloading" so if you had less than a full cylinder before, you'll still be missing rounds. And, of course, there's no display on the HUD - what little HUD there is - for the current ammo count, only the total ammo count. Your explosives are pitiful compared to the enemy's, with very small areas of effect. And there's a lack of any type of rocket launcher, so cracks on walls that you can detonate - a staple of Build engine games - are a pain as all of your explosives tend to bounce off the walls and come back at you. Likewise, the lack of a quick melee option is brutal against certain enemies, like the little skull spider things. This game is broken, and even without that, there's no thought that went into the synergy of the enemies and weapons. Nothing feels like it was designed to interact together. I don't remember this game being this painful when I played the earlier versions, the only bugs I really remembered encountering them were cosmetic at best. But something seems to have changed, something broke inside the core of the game. And what we now have is something I cannot recommend anyone play. The closest Build engine game I can compare it to is Redneck Rampage. That's the feeling this gave me. Some good level design here and there, good texture work - when it isn't so busy that you can't make out the enemies in it. But the enemies, weapons, gameplay... just not worth dealing with.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I hated the final boss, but this game was very good. My experience was kinda like with Prodeus with how I wasn't used to the reloading because this is heavily inspired by 90s FPS games like Duke Nukem 3D (and is literally made in the same engine), but once I got used to it, I had an absolute blast. Would highly recommend, and I may check out the DLC.
Bland weapons, annoying enemies, frustrating level design, AND performance issues? Sign me up (to never play this again)!
If you like Duke 3d or Blood, or boomer shooters in general check this out. its genuinely impressive what they were able to pull off with the build engine.
Fun, made by the same guys that made Duke Nukem, so its obvious the skill put in for a boomer shooter
It's a first-person fast-paced shooter game, similar to older games like Doc Nook and Doom. It's published by 3D Realms, the same developers as Doc Nook. Let's start with the graphics, which use the old style where all enemies are images and the surrounding environment is half 2D and half 3D. While this art style is nice nowadays, the problem is that the enemies are 2D, making headboxes somewhat cumbersome. Sometimes, circling them makes it even more difficult. The level design is generally excellent. The game has four or five zones, each a large area where you unlock new things. The level design itself is superb, whether it's in tight spaces, multiple floors, or a large open space. Progression involves defeating enemies, unlocking doors to advance using cards, or activating power sources. Overall, the level design is excellent. Now let's talk about the gameplay. As I mentioned, it's a fast-paced game, and the character you play moves very quickly, making the gameplay enjoyable in large environments. There are many enemies, and the character's actions are basic, like jumping and crouching. Their weapons are somewhat better than the regular ones; you have a stick, pistol, machine gun, shotgun, launcher, blender, and arrows. They're excellent for the game's duration, but they could have easily included more weapons. The weapons themselves are excellent, and the difference between them is nice; the difference lies in the damage and range they can damage. Let's move on to the enemies, which had excellent variety. There were enemies with arrows or shotguns, even zombie-like people, small monsters, and a worm-like robot. The variety was good, but I have a problem with the bosses. The problem is that they only use one weapon; they don't have any distinctive moves, and most of them just shoot. There's no system to focus on a specific part of them. Honestly, I don't like to call them bosses because they're the same as regular enemies, but you have to deal more damage to them. Most of them appear later, but not as bosses; they appear as regular enemies, which proves that they really are just regular enemies, but you have to The bosses are generally a disappointment in this game, and even the regular enemies have incredibly stupid AI; they're mostly just standing still. I know older games were like that because they couldn't make them really smart, but now you have no excuse. What's the problem with combining the old gameplay with modern elements, like improving their AI? The music is nice, but it's repetitive. Overall, the game is good, but there are some stupid things they could have improved.
It's great, there can never be enough of Build engine shooters in the world.
Overall a fun experience, albeit the levels are a bit hard to navigate sometimes.
