The game barely has enough content to count as a DLC, let alone as a full game priced at 40€. The gameplay is so miserable and it's just a fighting simulator disturbed by a few cutscenes. Having so many back-to-back fights with just a few seconds of story does not justify this game's price.
A gory 3v3 fighting game should be right up my alley... You can play a 2 hour story mode, arcade ladders or standard multiplayer... thats it... I dont mind playing online, but all you can basically do is standard matches against bots or players, and the game is not interresting enough to me to just play those basic modes over and over... progression rewards are also very limited, mostly color schemes, titles, player cards etc. real skins are available for extra money of course... that is not enough content these days for a 50€ fighting game... Also, for a 3v3 game the characters feel very similar. sure they have different moves and some lean more in a zoner or rush-down direction, but they all lack their own identity. you have some brawlers, one might have a different heavy, a different special, a different super, but fundamentally they all operate the same and they dont feel very unique... there are no real hard arche-types, its just my basic somewhat zone-ish character against your basic somewhat grapplerish character... in a 3v3 I expect some wilder sh*t when it comes to how some characters play... these are all very safe, which makes them boring... Game-mechanics themself aside (which i mostly like, other then the overall character feel), the game is also very bad at teaching you its mechanics (which most fighting games are imo), sure, every single action you can do is presented to you in a turtorial, but with no context on how to intergrate them into another, not even combo trails... If you want to a gory 3v3 fighting game to play online, go for it, look up gameplay videos first, see if you like it. If you want more or other things from a fighting game, like some fun modes to play solo or online, or grind for character customization etc. i wouldnt recommend this, it has none of it. Not for the full price at least.
This game is actually amazing. It capture the show and comics style and characters very well and it's fun to play when you're bored. the songs are good, and they include little jokes from the show like Immortals png slide as his victory animation or Lucan's Steve Harvy skin. Overall, a 9/10.
