Invincible VS

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE the ONLY reason i have this much time on this game is because the combat is fun. IF YOU ARE PURCHASING THIS GAME FOR ANYTHING BUT ONLINE, DONT! The game overall is not worth the price, you are spending almost full price for a game with not a whole lot. Everything else is planned to be dlc. If you play this game and dont find the combat fun, refund it. That is the only reason why I still play this game.

Short story mode basically is an episode, but still enjoyable, vs of course is where its at, fun as well, different things to learn to close skill gaps, my only gripe is sudden death. I get the concept but me having 3 characters and the last of the enemy turtles and zones out and manages to pull an undeserved win is what my negative part comes from, but still a solid 8/10 game to me.

Matchmaking sucks really bad consistently playing people thousands of points above me and many levels above me makes the game hard to play when you are getting stomped at such a low level against someone who is over 3x your rank This is still a problem after multiple updates PS spam isn't fun

I don't usually do reviews, but as a veteran fighting game player who has won many tournaments, I felt like I need to speak on this game. This is such a breath of fresh air. Great universal mechanics that allow counter play at every turn. On the surface the characters seem a bit shallow since they only have 3 special moves, but the variety the devs squeeze out with those is insane. Its probably the most balanced fighting out right now since the mark adjustment patch. The biggest cons in my opinion are: 1. Single player content - The story mode is an hour long and there are no combo trials, they have said that more modes are coming in future updates. 2. Online - The netcode is serviceable, definitely not the worst but far from the best. They only have 3 online modes, Ranked, Casual, and Lobby. The lobby mode has no voice and extremely limited text chat which I believes does hurt community formation. They should add and standard text chat and some sort of battle hub or free play type mode. 3. UI - This might be a nit pick. This game is very clearly inspired by MVC3, which is awesome and probably why I enjoy the gameplay so much, but the UI looks way to similar to MVC3 and gives off ps3 Xbox 360 vibes. Conclusion - If you like fighting games buy this game, if you like Invincible buy this game.

Super fun fighting game that's really easy to get a hold of. Even my friend who plays no other fighting games can hold their own against someone with hundreds of hours in stuff like Tekken and MK. It's really well designed to be easy to learn, but has enough depth that when you get deep into it you can do some crazy ♥♥♥♥. The story mode is a bit short, but surprisingly good and better choreographed than the show. My main complaints are the connection issues (which they say they're focusing on fixing now) and bad characterization of Invincible himself. His supers and ultimate don't really seem to reference anything. Everyone else is excellent though.
