Nederlandse versie hier beneden. Regardless of whether time travel is possible, it remains an interesting subject to philosophize about or to turn it into a game. Unfortunately, 'Invasion: Lost in Time' comes with an unbelievable, unattractive story. You can argue that this is compensated by the numerous and varied mini-games that this Hidden Object Game contains. Once you have played them a large number of these can be found via the bonus button on the main menu. A number of new puzzles can also be found there. Another plus is the background music. This music would fit very well in a good science fiction movie. Regarding that, some locations also look fantastic and sifi-like. The game does not have spoken audio, and only comes in English translation. Also, no trading cards are given, nor are there achievements to unlock. The latter is a shame, because there are achievements within the game itself. It is nice, however, that missed achievements can still be won afterwards via the bonus button of the main menu. Despite the fact that 'Invasion: Lost in Time' is dated, there's really no reason so far not to recommend it. If it had stopped here, I would have given it a small 7 out of 10. The big problem with the game, however, is the inventory. As in most Hidden Object Games, found items are stored at the bottom of the screen. In 'Invasion: Lost in Time' these objects are sometimes placed just above the given space and sometimes they are displayed much too large. Every now and then the entire inventory section slides up a few centimeters. Annoying, but not all that bad because this will restore itself. However, what happens a dozen times is that a clicked object is not placed in the inventory, but shoots upwards, out of the picture. The result is that the game immediately freezes. Buttons no longer work and the menu is inaccessible. The game must then be force quit and restarted. Not recommended for smooth gaming fun. Rating: 4/10. Nederlandse versie. Waardering: 4/10.
A good but buggy casual point-and-click adventure. The puzzle mini-games and hidden-object scenes are varied and satisfying and the fast-paced sci-fi story takes you to diverse locations and times. It's a bit silly, but still exciting! Graphics are excellent, but the music can get repetitive. There is no voice acting ... which is honestly better than the mediocre voice acting we tend to get in this genre. The bugs seem to do with the clunky game engine. A few times I got stuck in a game mode and could not continue without restarting the game. Luckily, no progress was lost. Also, there are some flickering effects with the graphics. Nothing that ruins the game, but can get annoying. Also, the game will simply not work on a 4K resolution, so make sure to switch your desktop to 1080p before running the game. Finally, I don't know if this is a bug, but I found some of the time-sensitive puzzles to be extremely difficult. Could it be that my high-end computer is running them too fast? I persevered and conquered all except one of them, which felt truly impossible. Luckily, it's possible to skip puzzles. Despite these issues I have to give this game a thumbs up due to its excellent content. Clearly, a lot of effort has been put into making this a gripping adventure. Now, please improve your game engine! Note: There are in-game achievements, but they are not linked to Steam.
This game's a buggy mess. The background of the inventory sometimes floats off into space and doesn't come back until you restart. Alt+tabbing displays "game paused" but doesn't pause the game. Some interactive items cause the game to glitch out, requiring a restart. The HOG screen click zones are finnicky, numerous puzzles are poorly explained. A lot of the story is delivered as text during puzzles, when you're probably too focused on the puzzle to notice. The most enjoyable part of the game is the bubbles on the main menu, which you can drag around.
Works ok for me, so far it's another mediocre point'n'click HOG (hidden object game) in a sea of mediocre HOGs (there are tons of free ones - MyPlayCity). No voice acting. Story is ok. Putting lines of story text during the middle of a puzzle is annoying, I like to concentrate on the puzzle when I'm doing a puzzle. Puzzles are reasonably good, a bit more unique than most HOGs. The game has in-game achievements but they aren't mapped to steam achievements. Good HOGs to start with are 'Nightmares from the Deep' series, 'Hidden Animals Photo Hunt' and 'Adam Wolfe'. For non-HOG adventure games there is the 'Deponia' series, 'Machinarium' and 'The Journey Down' series...[edit] The Samarost series is great too.
I'm 0.1 hours in (10 minutes or less)? and I've encountered several bugs already and the little window in-game would not close. I had to force close the game ultimately. I have no idea if this is a good game because it doesn't seem to function correctly. At this time I have to say no. This review may change but I can't even get it to run, however good it looks. :( :( NOTE: If they update the game and fix it, my review may change.
An exciting casual quest with a variety of mini-games and hidden objects. Embark on an adventure through the eras to stop the alien invasion.
What can I say? 2.3 hours is enough for me to know I hate this game with a passion. I had to quit I can't even finish this flaming cesspit of bugs. Half the puzzles aren't that great even if they are unique they are tedious and boring. A lot of the instructions for said puzzles aren't explained properly and tend to be very confusing. There is NO resolution options There is only full screen or windowed it constantly has graphical glitches where the menu itself ingame is hard to even get to work because it constantly is flickering in and out of existence. This causes problems where I cant even click on things half the time and all the flickering of my screen makes me feel sick. Unless you are getting it in a bundle or for a few cents don't get it. Anything over 1$ for this is NOT worth it.
honestly only reviewing to say unless this game is part of a very inexpensive bundle I would pass on it because this has a lot of issues, one of them being that it randomly would get stuck in one of the pop up windows so that I had to manually close the game and when this happened a third time when I went to start the game again I had lost my entire game as in it no longer existed as if I had never played it and I was quite far into the game already so I had to create a new game. as to the game, well it's basically something you would play if you just want to zone out and play something super casually and aren't expecting some great story or mechanics in the game. Graphics are dated, actually thought this game was older then it is but then again I think this game came out 7 years ago and these days if a game is a few years old people may label it old already so by those standards it's ancient, lol. There are a lot of mini games, some hidden object and assorted this and that. If it didn't have bugs and it comes in a really inexpensive bundle with other games you want then it's something extra you could play with your little ones or just as a casual zone out game. other then that not worth getting unless the bugs I encountered was fixed.

Invasion: Lost in Time is a mobile app like hidden object puzzle game, like the Artifex Mundi mobile apps that keep getting dumped on Steam, but worse. It's from HH Games, who make a living trying to scam PC gamers into paying them money for free mobile apps. This is a very routine HOG with a weak time travel theme. Gameplay consists of basic iPhone screen tapping on things to solve puzzles and find specific objects from a jumble of junk. Kinda like finding a decent game on Steam, you had to wade through all these mobile apps and other cash grabs. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings, resolution is locked to 720p. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. This game features a couple of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. These paid reviewers write their reviews in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be taken with a grain of salt due to the evidence of unethical review manipulation. Invasion: Lost in Time has an overly optimistic price of around $6 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
