Interior Tales is a cozy, chill sim game where you decorate interiors for clients with no timers or frustrations. Unlock cool new decor as you complete jobs!
Gamplay & Settings
Settings & extras include; resolution & display options, tooltips on or off, the ability to invert your mouse controls, the ability to change keybinds, and audio controls. The gameplay is very similar to others in the genre such as MakeRoom or Small Spaces. There is a tutorial that will get you familiar with the mechanics and have you designing in no time. You will take on jobs from various clients that have specific items or colours they want in their designs. Tips N Tricks ⭐ I could not find out why I was not achieving stars for jobs, turns out you need to SCROLL down the list of objectives (I did not see there was more to do) ⭐ You are not able to get 3 stars on purpose for some jobs as you need to go back to them at a later time to finish them. ⭐ Look around the map for collectables! They are added to your inventory and can be used or sold. ⭐ You can filter jobs by theme, which makes it easier to find items specific to that job. You can also filter by style or price. Some jobs will require you to have objects that fall into specific categories. ⭐The game auto-saves so just make sure to continue or load your game when you reopen it. If you hit a new game do not worry as you can have 3 saved games and can backtrack if you have to on the main menu.
Overall Experience
I don’t mind the graphics being more simplified or the design layouts limited to being more modular. I love the challenge of meeting all the client’s objectives and earning a perfect score (I also love unlocking more items or finding secret items on each map). The game has quite a bit of content for the price you pay and offers many hours of fun if you enjoy the job aspect of these types of games. You do get to eventually decorate your own spaces that you earn by completing challenges in the game. Some jobs have to be revisited at a later time to finish while others are locked until you complete other jobs beforehand so you cannot just design one job at a time and move forward. In this game progress is not linear. I find this game actually pretty relaxing, the music is laid back but you can play your own tunes as well while designing. There are no time limits with lots of gameplay and some achievements to earn for those that love them too. ✨

Please follow our curator page, Otome Lovers, if you'd like to see more reviews like this one! Nice little puzzle game with a decorating twist. There are also money management and reputation aspects. Very relaxing and casual. If you follow the quests as intended it can take awhile to achieve 3 stars on some jobs as you have to unlock things from later jobs then come back. Definitely think I've gotten my money's worth (paid more for games that took a lot less time. The Dev's are very fast and open to doing fixes and suggestions! They have added toggles for less patient player styles who do not want to wait for jobs/items/property unlocks. Which I suppose if you like to replay games would make it closer to sandbox (a mode they plan to add). They also added toggles for previous holiday special events so if you like to complete all Jobs and achievements you can.
TRACTOR BED FOR THE SICK CHILDREN <3 IF U LOVE INTERIORS & TALES THIS IS THE GAME!
Good controls, interface, and gameplay loop. Design requirements are separated into three star targets, so you can complete a level cheaply and/or easily, then return to it later. You also gradually unlock properties which you can decorate freely without any requirements. Pick this one up if you want cozy sandbox gameplay with some light goals.
I've spent a lot of time in this game and it's honestly such a cozy experience. I love that there are no time limits or stress, you can decorate at your own pace and really get lost in the design choices. I also really love how the cities each have their own vibe and I've had a lot of fun exploring and finding the little 'easter eggs' hidden around. It's clear a lot of love went into this project and it really shows in the details 🫶
