I don't think there has been a game I have despised and hated as much as Injustice 2. There is no value for buying this game. The actual gameplay is sluggish and god-awful, the online is completely dead, and the achievements are complete dogwater (one requires a grueling grind, the other requires a 1/160 chance or an additional 50 hours of grind.) Please, for the love of God, buy something else.

This is an excellent fighting game, though there are some things that aren't so great about it. For starters, the graphics are top notch. Characters and environments are insanely detailed, and everything looks great! The music is kinda bleh imo, but the gameplay and such makes up for it. New to the Injustice series, or fighting games in general? There's a tutorial mode that goes really in-depth on the various mechanics, and even fighting game terminology and things like "frame advantages" and "block pressure", useful things to know if you really want to get into the competitive side of things. The story mode is another big highlight, very movie like, and some chapters even allow you to choose which character to use to fight the battles, between two. Alternate endings are also a thing, so it enhances the replayability a bit. No quicktime events either, another plus. This game adds the "Multiverse", a series of rotating "planets' that have towers and events that have rewards for completing them, in addition to rewards for completing objectives for that group of towers. Some also have effects that change the battle, like hazards and modifiers. Now here's the big issue I have; the gear system and the loot boxes. While I don't mind unlocking gear to change how the fighters look and their stats, the fact that the one of the ONLY ways to earn them is from random loot boxes is annoying. Not to mention the microtransactions for "Source Crystals. The grind to get a character to max level is also very long. All in all I do recommend this fighter, but get ready for a grind.
