Instead of traditional learning methods, Influent places players inside a fully interactive 3D apartment where everyday objects can be clicked to reveal their names and pronunciation in the selected language. A BRIEF HISTORY
Influent is a Language Learning Game focusing primarily on vocabulary acquisition and pronunciation. It was initially developed in Japan at the University of Tsukuba's Entertainment Computing Laboratory under the Monbukagakusho Government Research Scholarship.
After the research term ended, further funding from a successful Kickstarter Campaign allowed for the completion of the game. Two research papers on the ideas surrounding the game and its applications was published by the Springer and the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ).
