[b]infiniwordslide[/b] (nee [i]word cascade[/i]) is a simple endless word game with elements of tetris in one of the game modes. various english and french dictionaries are available out of the box, and you can add or remove words if you want. the game is played on 15x15 boards. [u]classic[/u] is the tetris-like mode, letters fall very fast (or immediately if you so desire), filling the board one by one, line by line, and you can move each full line left and right and create words by selecting letters horizontally, vertically or diagonally to make them disappear and score points. game over when a new letter drops onto a full column. the other modes all start with filled boards, so every line can be fiddled with and disappearing letters are replaced from the top. in [u]escalation[/u] you have to find words of increasing length, starting with 3 letters, up to 15. if you select letters that don't make up a word, no problem, but creating two same-length words means game over, and skipping one (e.g. going from 3-letter to 5-letter) resets the sequence. [u]time attack[/u] is the only mode with a clock ticking down from 1 minute, words add extra time, but less and less as the score and level increase. and finally, [u]zen[/u] is just endless word-finding. [b]controls are mouse-based[/b], everything is clickable, but keyboard can also be used to pause, and to drop letters in classic mode. no way to control the board with the keys, but mouse wheel works for moving lines left and right, much better than clicking arrows on the side. holding the wheel and dragging the mouse is also an option, but it's more finicky. [b]presentation is servicable.[/b] there are various background images to choose from, they can appear randomly, change between every scene, or you can set one to stay. no sound effects, only music with a volume slider, shuffle, repeat and previous/next track buttons, plus windowed mode, ui scaling slider, vsync and fps cap, and a [b]timer toggle[/b], since it doesn't matter outside time attack anyway. as usual, endless random gameplay didn't hold my attention for long, but if you don't mind or prefer it this way, the game should provide plenty of entertainment. it's probably worth waiting for a sale though.

Fans de jeux de lettres, foncez !!! Ce jeu propose plusieurs facettes de conception de mots. Dans le premier mode, les lettres tombent en cascade (d'où le nom du jeu) et vous devez former le plus possible de mots avant que la grille soit pleine. D'autres mode de jeu sont disponibles, dont le mode "zen" qui vous permet de jouer sans arrêt... Je n'ai jamais aimé la musique dans les jeux, parce que souvent c'est répétitif. Ici, une liste assez grande de morceaux existe, c'est doux et je n'ai (pas encore) coupé le son. De plus les Dev sont à l'écoute et sont très réactifs. J'ai découvert un bug qui a été réglé en moins d'une heure. C'est assez rare pour le mentionner ! (et surtout un 23 décembre !)
