Solid game for the price. It's no final fantasy, but it will scratch that JRPG itch. 7/10 They need to explain the elements and setting up your talent board thing better.
Infinite Links is like a lot of other Kemco games. You control a small party that quickly gets swept up into events, yada yada yada...you don't honestly play these for the plot do you? It's very basic and reads very similar to other Kemco games. However the game has some fundamental issues that have plagued other Kemco games, but this time it feels worse. Battles are still badly balanced unless you grind all day or use the premium currency. Thankfully they drop the premium currency very very often which is a small plus. However even with it, you can't buy good weapons (like previous games) or even good stat increases. Instead you can buy a bean which increases 2 random stats. You can easily get two stats you are not using on the characters with your setup, making it a waste. Oh and boss battles are still raise difficulty to 11 like other of their games, but instead of addressing that, this time they have regular enemies do that too. Their fix? Let's just restore your HP after every battle. MP though is not restored so you can easily run low. Or you can buy a premium item to make MP restored after every battle (see a pattern now?) To top it off the game tells you too much and too little. I got tutorials on how to use a lever and how to navigate the arrow floor puzzle. But I never got explained anything on talismans, I finally figured out they can be equipped as skills after a LONG time playing, as the game never told me that. I never got explained Fatal Moves at all. In fact I never once had an option to even use one. Also the characters LOVE to do what I call the mid dungeon yak. Every dungeon midpoint it is always a hey let's rest...talk a little...go on. Breaks up the flow badly as it often happens when you don't expect it. I mean I'm for story but most of those were just hey you doing ok, ok. Let's talk about how we are doing. Now lets go on. Over and over. First time, ok shows a little about the characters. Tenth time I was like just shut up already. Overall I'd say only get this game if you want something to put on while watching Netflix, or if you don't mind grinding for premium currency for a few hours when starting out. The game will spend a lot of time telling you things that are basic but not explain the stuff that is unique to the game, like the talismans. Or the fatal moves. Or upgrading. Or... But hey at least there is a tutorial on how to use a lever.

I really love KEMCO games. It's better than any
H Content of RPGmakers.
I'm not belittling the spoiler tagged comment of mine. Hardly. The game themselves could be a worth it endeavor, IF NOT FOR WHAT YOUR ACTUAL GOAL IS IN THAT GAME. I will spare you the details, as it's disgusting. Anyway, another nice series that I can play with but somehow annoying without mouse and tutorial support. Kronos:
The stereotypical protagonist who is mostly hotheaded and self-righteous.
Serene:
Best Lady you could ever hope for, if not for the lack of character developments in the normal route.
Meytia:
Potentially the Best Girl of this series because of how better her character developments are, a bit above than the rest.
Yumil:
Just an ordinary cool guy that can be your best friend, after that, his character is just shallow... or simply too reserved but helpful in the shadows.
Beruna:
A hidden Best Waifu if you know what you're doing... OwO
The story for this game is so basic, that it can even be for newbies but not recommended because of how it's mostly dull and boring. There's actually a lot of skill system in this game that was not really given more time to be implemented and given more fruitful endeavor. If only they think more, even a bit, the upgrade system for the elemental stones could've been better, because currently,
you may not use "non +#" stones to upgrade the "+# ones",
because of this, you need to grind more than you should, and you're mostly stuck without ever getting to the max value of the upgraded version. If you played any other games of Kemco, there's actually quite a few mechanics imported from those games, but seriously, you will only get to see each of them in a single dungeon, afterwards, it doesn't exist anymore and got replaced by another one. i.e. ice floor, moving-plates, hole to fall, etc. While I do recommend the story, it's rather average or mediocre at best, but still a 5/10 for me. P.S. I used an xbox-like game controller, and it's fully supported.
My next try with an Exe game. This time it's Infinite Links. What do you get with this game? A very very very casual JRPG. Don't expect anything even close to a real JRPG. It is more like a self running demo. For someone who started playing with Rogue, Ultima and later FF this is a parody. Only that you can't laugh about it (and it cost you). That even the devs knew that this isn't a real game shows that you can fastforward every dialog. I started this game in Hard modus. And after playing a a short time just autobattled my way through it. Why? because your party is overpowered within minutes. For every little thing you get a reward....you won a fight...reward, if you killed the same enemies a few times...reward. For every 3 fights you get points for the special shop with items to make you near invincible. You may know the rule...a new game you go out of town and grind for 1 hour to get your party to level 3 or 4 with regular visits of the local inn after each fight. Not with this one. You party gets autohealed...and early on you can buy a nice item (special shop) that restores your MP after each fight. You can boost your weapons and armor through merging them with item of the same type (must be at last an item with +1). Also you can put fragments into your weapons/aromr...each can have up to 4 slots for them...those can boost your skills...and you can merge them with others. You have skill slots (of course you can merge them too). Like their other games this one has an arena where you can get even more prizes. And don't forget the special points and the rare premium tickets...with them you can play roulette to win even better weapons. So can I recommend this game? If you never ever played an JRPG before...you may give this a try if it is under €1. Everyone else...avoid it!!!!
I enjoy the presentation and a lot of the accessibility and QoL features, but this is a painfully boring game. The narrative doesn't have much personality or depth. The dungeons are super samey. And the combat is fun for a few hours but then becomes a slog that I tended to fast-forward through. Theres an in-game shop where you can spend a rare currency you earn for powerful items that boost xp and stats and stuff like that, which I found fun. But it's not enough to redeem this game. Infinite links just doesn't have much going for it. After the sixth generic ruin dungeon or so I stopped playing. If you're really craving a generic jrpg, I guess it can scratch that itch? But there are just so many better and cheaper indie titles on steam that do a better job that I can't recommend this.
Cool stort game. I really liked the battle system and the story was pretty nice, Can deffently recommend it when you want to play a nice and chill game
