Good game play. Good puzzles. Sequel?
Solid escape room puzzle for the price. Look forward to the next installment.
I feel like Escape the Room-type games are perfect for VR. Puzzles and how you interact with the objects in the game is good. Although I have not finished the game yet (due to needing to get used to longer duration in VR), the difficulty of the puzzles seem to be good. Looking forward to more of these type of games.
A nice, well polished Escape Room game. Challenging, but I'd recommend it. You have an hour to escape, as is common in real life Escape Room experiences. I've played it through once and didn't manage to escape. Was doing fairly well for about 30 mins. Not too difficult, not too easy, but then I got to a stage where I got an object that I couldn't figure out what it was or what its use was and a map that I'm sure did something but I couldn't work it out exactly. I probably needed a second person there to help me out! Spent the last 15 mins at a bit of a loss, but definitely going to give it another shot. I think there's only one room in this game, so keep in mind, as with any Escape room style game, it's going to have limited replayability. If you complete it first time around that's 1 hour gameplay for your money. However, this is definitely one of the better VR escape room games I've tried so far, and seems to be a nice challenge. We'll see how I get on second time around!
+Escape Room +A few decent puzzles +Cheap for content -Fairly Easy -Kind of quick -Somewhat wonky/buggy controls 2.5/5 This Review Would Be Neutral If There Was An Option To Do So The fake spooky element, wonky/buggy controls and difficulty (Or lack there of) of this experience make me iffy about recommending it. However others seem to think it's a tad difficult, and it's fairly cheap, I'd say if it's on sale for $0.99, might as well pick it up. But personally I didn't think it was that great of an escape room. Simple but fun escape room. Puzzles are well thought out and lead well into each other. The game took about 45-50 minutes to complete well worth the $1.00 I spent getting the game on sale. Does work with Oculus Rift despite not saying so on the store page however the controller bindings are clearly designed the Vive touchpads and the in game hand models are at a slightly odd again using the Rift Touch controls. Pros: Good puzzles Works with Rift Cons: Controls on Rift Touch odd Short playtime 45-50 mins
A fun escape the room game. Very much like a 'real world' escape the room. Takes about an hour, and I got enjoyably stuck a couple of times. Good fun!
I just finished the game and needed 2 tries to pull it off. Overall, the graphics are good and the puzzles are pretty challenging. The controls for the Oculus Rift however, were not very good. You can play it with the Oculus Rift, but it's made for the HTC Vive. I had trouble, picking up stuff from the ground, because the ground in the game is lower than the one in real life. Fortunately it was possible after a few tries though. Pros: - Some challenging puzzles - Nice graphics - Pretty good price for the lenght of the game (I don't think, many people are able to solve this in one go) Cons: - The support of controls. (for the Oculus Rift; you have to find out the controls)
It took me 10 minutes to figure out that I could actually turn on the flashlight by pressing the joycon...
- Pickung up stuff from the ground is difficult (there is no option to crouch by pushing a specific button to make it easier, picking things up from the ground)
A good and enjoyable escape game, and one for which I failed to beat the clock the first time round, finally clicking to what the clues meant during my second attempt. A minor bug report - I actually opened the vents using the tin cans (the vents just fly open if you hit them a few times with a can).. not sure if this is intention or not. I didn't have the correct tool to open the vents at the time, due to misreading that clue.
8/10 This is a good escape the room. I enjoyed it, I recommend it.
