I was an Kickstarter backer for PA and IA and I can tell you this, this is an unfinished and abandoned tech demo and there is no point of dicussing the gameplay of this game. Most of the patch updates was the first 10 weeks after the Early Access launch and then its slowly went quiet. As of April 2025, Galactic Annihilation SEC filing showed that they had 32 000 USD on the books and around that time the discord server was shutdown and Kickstarter backers was ghosted. What I learned is that I paid the retirement for the former C-suit of Gas Powered games that formed Galactic Annihilation Inc. We do not know the hole story, but at this time it seams that we have been had. I would encourage others to report this to Steam to get this game removed.
Original Total Annihilation player, even played Supreme Commander 1 and 2 and also backed Planetary Annihilation and Titans. They had regular updates and had quite active updates as they developed the game for PA. I regret backing this game which hasn't had an update in over a year and their Discord is dead. I don't see any updates from the staff, and there has been a total dev blackout. The early access build that I have tried to play on several occasions is rough (I expected that being in Early Access Alpha), and provided feedback on their Discord to deaf ears back in early 2025. I keep checking back and have waiting well past a year now for an update and haven't received anything which is disappointing. There aren't a ton of games out there like this and I was hoping to see these mech builder RTS games continue. Really disappointing and I won't back a game again by this team. I definitely feel rug pulled.
Industrial Annihilation plays like an asset flip tech demo of a resource management simulator. The assets feel straight out of their previous game, Planetary Annihilation. They took money on kickstarter and steam. At the time of this writing, the last update for this game was April 2025. It's still barebones, if even that, and missing many advertised features (such as the single-player campaign the Steam store page advertises). I regret backing this game and advise avoiding purchase.
Abandoned
Abandonware
Once again another reason to never pre-order. Last Update April 4th 2025, on launch relasese, not even a game. The homonculus in my basement could have made a better game with actual content than this. -Foreskin
This game is most likely abandonware now and is not playable in its current state. It would be a stretch to call this a game at all.
DO NOT GET SUCKERED IN LIKE WE ALL DID! Well, seems that everyone that bought into this game was suckered in to give the devs bucks. It's such a fun idea, devs get money then close down the game. Off the discussion board for this game: Update: 12.03.2025 - The Devs's discord is gone ----------------------------------------- So, 3 months since release, no major update. 2 month since the last (minor) update. No communication from the devs (as far as I can see in Discussions, Kickstarter, blogs or anything)
Scam dont waste your money.
Devs scammed - no updates in a year
