Indie Pogo is a fun indie game crossover fighter with a very interesting gimmick. Your characters are ALWAYS jumping. Now, this might sound weird and annoying, but it's actually VERY fun and works surprisingly well. Some of the best movesets include moves that play with the jumping mechanic and the physics of the game on the whole. My main: Jack, and his spike ball chain move, for example. Sprites are really nice, I LOVE the idea of trophy characters being added to the audience to cheer you on, and lots of interesting and weird character choices (what other fighting game lets you play as a dinosaur spider?) Make this game just a total treat to play. The whole thing feels like a fun celebration!
Its like Smash Bros. but you're all fighting in a bounce house. Goofy party game to pull out every once in a while.
I wouldn't say the main gimmick is as bad as other people are saying in the comment, the real issue is that the game is overall slower than most games. It feels kinda bad, and doesn't really help the heavy hand holding 15min tutorial at the very beginning of the game (before even accessing the menu for fullscreen or disabling rumble) that makes you wonder if it's an indie title or a generic mobile game. It's sad, because the ideas are good, there's potential, but it kinda plays like a game from another era with different criteria of polish and accessibility. And speed dammit. TL;DR : Good concept, speed it up and polish it and you might get something, but as it is, it's a sad pass for me.
You like smash bros ? Then pass on this game, it's literal trash and i'm being polite here. The devs don't know how to make a game so bad that they are "curently" making a pokemon like game since then and removed everything they could about their old trash game.
Bouncy Auto Smash
one of the most wacky and unique fighting games ive ever played, and i mean that in the best way possible. this game is a mix between a platform fighter and a traditional fighter, and it pulls it off terrifically. and the roster is fantastic, with the best roster of indie characters ive ever seen in an indie crossover fighting game.
This game is really terrible. Almost literally no one in the entire world know what "Indie Pogo" is, and for a good reason. Indie Pogo is one of the worst platform fighters I have ever played. The entire game presentation is so bland and unappealing, the soundtracks are so plain and simple that they are pretty much forgettable and non-existent, and the worst part of this entire game is none other than the gameplay itself. The gameplay is so chaotic, and not in a good way. Every character automatically jumps nonstop, which is not a big issue. The real issue in this game is the "Pogo" mechanic. Basically, you jump on top of your opponent's heads to rack up combos, which can be used for Super Moves. By having this Pogo mechanic, you are basically getting juggled a lot since the person on top always have the advantage. They jump on your head to which they remain above you for another jump, whereas you get knocked back down to the ground ready to be constantly jumped on again. It is so annoying. It is so cringy. It is such a terrible game. Forget this game existed, just like everyone else in the entire world did.
