Length for all chapters: <3hr 30min I want to hit this off from the start, buy this game only for the gameplay the narrative is not finished and will most likely never be finished. The story of In Fear I Trust at the minute is very disjointed and I am not sure what is even going on, maybe supernatural, maybe the story is filled with metaphors who knows, we are NEVER getting an ending. In Fear I Trust the player is effectively going through events in the main character's life, each adding to the mystery of what has happened to him. The game's narrative is really interesting as so much of the game feels supernatural and mysterious. A lot of the narrative of the game is given to the player through notes, or audio recordings of the past. While the player can just watch the animations and ghosts, I really recommend in this game to look for the collectables as the main game won't fully tell you what is going on. The puzzles are mostly simple, while you can go straight into them, there is usually a useful hint hidden in the game. There are a range of puzzles throughout the game, and a lot of unique differences between each other. While there is a bit of item collection in the game, most of the items are given from completing puzzles. There are a few gripes I have with the game, the first is the camera, it feels too close to the player especially early on in the game. The reason is because it was designed for a mobile, it is why you will find all of the puzzles in the game designed for mobile movements. Some puzzles can become tedious while most have really simple answers which the player can find in their other vision, some feel like trial and error. The Graphics for the characters especially in later characters really look strange, it feels like they would be a better place in Rapture than in this game. Overall I actually really like In Fear I Trust, it has some great puzzles, and the story is interesting but lacks any sense of closure. While at times graphics look off and animations can be awkward it does not reduce the games charm. Still it was a fun experience. If you get stuck in the game or just want to see gameplay my video is below, I have played through all four chapters through I did miss a handful of collectable across all chapters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE0L8HNaZuo Looking for more horror games check out my growing curator page for all horror games I recommend: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41770172/
Actually liked the game, enough to suggest at least a try for it. Though, sometimes I felt lost with some of the puzzles as I went on in the story, something like they were launched at me without any advice and I had to grab them or being hit by them... Not sure about the ending and part of the story. Got some lighting issues with some extreme glossiness all over some places and items that I couldn't manage to circumvent.
Aggressively mediocre. With puzzles pulled from the 'Baby's first video game' textbook. A story that's been told to death, and with an atmosphere that's about as frightening as a coffee shop.
The graphics are terrible, the puzzles are illogical or just annoying, and the story is boring. It seems like it's a mobile port, so unsurprisingly it also has tons of technical issues. Not worth playing at any price.
Dont Know What IS Going ON LOL
