another game that makes me wish steam had a "mixed" option for reviews. there's clearly a lot of love and work put into this game, and the best example of that is the visual design. it reminds me a lot of the simulation sequences in ghostrunner, which is a high compliment. the enemy designs are also cool, and the fact that some of them have destructible limbs that affect their attacks is actually really impressive. sadly, though, this game's issues slightly outweigh its highlights. the combat is definitely the strongest aspect of the gameplay. while not particularly satisfying, it's perfectly okay. your main weapon has three modes that you unlock over the course of the game, with each having its own niche in different situations. enemy weak points are well-conveyed, and most of them offer a good challenge to fight. but there are a handful that very quickly become a nuisance due to having way too much health for the amount of damage you can deal at that point, even with upgrades. (the second level has a boss that deals barely any damage, but has about ten times the health of the enemies you've fought up until that point, and deploys an impenetrable shield after every two hits. there's another more common enemy later on that does the same, and it's incredibly annoying to have to wait until they can be hit again.) it really feels like the base damage the weapon deals should be higher, so you don't have to rely on upgrades to make fights engaging. the level design is... strange. even when the map is absolutely massive, there's rarely a reason to stray from the main path outside of finding player upgrades, of which i could find about 7 in the entire game, after having explored nearly every nook and cranny. (there are 15 upgrade slots, which can be used to increase health, ammo, or damage. considering the combat issues mentioned above, it would be nice to have at least that many more placed in obvious spots. that way, finding the existing ones will feel like a reward rather than an obligation.) health and ammo is far too plentiful on normal difficulty, and i was often disappointed when i found one in a well-hidden area instead of an upgrade. there are also half-life-esque health and ammo dispensers, which once again appear way too frequently. they do theoretically run out if you use them too much, but unlike in half-life, they take so long to deplete that they might as well be infinite. there are points where you can literally just negate all damage taken in a fight by standing in front of a health dispenser while shooting. i can't imagine it'll be too much more difficult on hard mode, which i sadly have little interest in playing. this game has 'puzzles' to fill the space between fights, which consist of either finding a code written on an obvious screen or placing a cube on a predetermined shelf to redirect a laser. the latter is very obviously inspired by portal, but the difference here is that there's no player freedom whatsoever. these unfortunately end up feeling like fetch quests, and force the pacing to a crawl. but the weakest part, in my opinion, is the narrative. this may have been a case of something getting lost in translation, but the story is a mess, or poorly told at the very least. i had a whole other page here of the issues i faced with trying to piece it together, but i'll keep it short: it's pretentious and often incoherent. i'll refrain from saying any more, as it honestly dragged most of the experience down for me. bug-wise, there are a few, though overall the game is pretty polished. there are places in the level geometry where you can get stuck and forced to reload the level if you don't have a spare grenade to kill yourself with. if you die while carrying an item, it will sometimes disappear, also forcing a reload. some unlockable doors will remain locked even if a keycard was successfully used on them. apart from some other minor issues, though (like enemy sounds playing after death), it's solid. there's also a custom level editor (with workshop support!) that i tried playing around with, but couldn't figure out how to work. still, this is a nice touch, even if it hasn't seen much use. overall, i want to like this game, and even more to recommend it. but these shortcomings keep me from doing so, which is a genuine shame. i'll be going back to 100% this, but probably won't be replaying it afterward unless the devs revamp it in some way.
One of the Best Indie Games ever made! The Puzzles are thought provoking and the mysteries to solve are always intriguing. The combat is simple but satisfying, new unlocks keep you moving forward as you have to master the combat later. The music is GREAT! I might be biased as I made it aha! IHAS feels like Portal and Doom had a space adventure. You shoot, think, and survive. Thank you to the developers for this experience!
The game itself is ok, nothing too special. The developer is a really kind person. Happy to support such upcoming talent from Ukraine!
Fun puzzle game. Worth the price. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
I had the privilege of being a beta tester for IHAS, and I can confidently say it is one of the most immersive and heartfelt games I’ve ever played. Developed single-handedly by a talented Ukrainian creator over several years, IHAS is a testament to what passion and dedication can achieve. The game masterfully combines intense FPS action, intricate puzzles, and thrilling boss battles. The level of detail in the environment and gameplay mechanics is truly remarkable. The puzzles are cleverly designed to challenge your mind without feeling repetitive or unfair. The combat sequences are equally exhilarating, with enemies that test both strategy and reflexes. And let’s talk about the bosses—they’re epic, demanding both skill and patience to conquer. Knowing the developer personally, I’ve seen firsthand how much heart and soul they poured into this project. Their dedication shines through in every aspect of the game, from its storytelling to its mechanics. It’s not just a game - it’s an experience that reflects years of passion, creativity, and hard work. If you’re a fan of cyberpunk puzzle-shooters or just appreciate a well-crafted indie game, IHAS is a must-play. Support this incredible project—you won’t regret it!
Pretty good game, cracking soundtrack - would be nice if the Publisher offered the soundtrack to buy as an add on as well. Story is quite interesting. Can feel a half life / portal inspiration. Unfortunately sometimes it's a little unclear where you need to go which can get frustrating. Just about gets a recommend for me but some more clearer signposting would have made it a lot more fun

Equip your weapon with various mods to adapt to different combat situations, transforming it from a precision laser beam to a devastating shotgun. With each new challenge, you'll need to harness your resourcefulness and sharpen your wit to conquer your mechanical foes. As a puzzle-solving aficionado, you'll navigate through a series of elaborate chambers, each containing a central puzzle element known as the 'Integrated Hybrid Automation Systems,’ or IHAS.
