前期只是个平庸的类溯源游戏，模拟洗衣服、倒垃圾等各种日常，自然穿插邻居、宿管和一名陌生男子的来访。作为心理恐怖最大的一个问题是，恐惧来源于未知，真凶的面容和身份却过早暴露，导致悬疑氛围荡然无存。在悬念的散布上肯定不如The Stalked，依稀记得游玩后者时怀疑落到每个人头上的无助感。很明显，把真凶改成Mary再在揭晓身份前给她戴上头套要高明得多。（只能说比毫无遮掩的现状强）另外作者忽视了一个惊悚的瞬间，当女主察觉到屋内可能有人时，提示便一直在催促报警，[strike]其实我觉得倒不如仔细作一番搜查[/strike]。 后期进下水道转向生存恐怖。不得不称赞关卡设计水平太棒，在一小块联通地图里一边探索一边解谜一边和杀人狂周旋，电锯声缓慢逼近的压迫感异常强劲。仅凭这一小段惊艳的收尾就直接拉高了整体质感，放进这个价位里比肯定属于精品了。结局明示未完待续，期待续作能在心恐层面有更好的发挥。

Hollowbrook Apartments is a cozy-meets-creepy horror experience that doesn’t overstay its welcome — and at a ~$3 price point, it’s absolutely worth your time. You step into the shoes of Jenny, a newcomer trying to start fresh in a new city and a new apartment. Early moments are delightfully domestic: laundry, exploring your cozy apartment, and interacting with knickknacks that give the space personality. The game leans into this contrast beautifully — the apartment feels lived-in and strangely comforting compared to the dread waiting just outside the door. That dread begins immediately once you step out into the building and hallways. Hollowbrook’s common areas and corridors are oppressive and unsettling, eerie lighting, and strange ambiance that keeps the tension simmering. The presence of a ripper killer on the loose adds a layer of impending danger that never feels cheap or drawn out. There’s even an awkwardly persistent Night Manager whose flirtatious advances add an uncomfortable (and darkly comedic) twist to your unease. It’s an effective blend: cozy interior vibes that make every trip into the rest of the building feel like a step into something hostile and unpredictable. Overall, Hollowbrook Apartments strikes a great balance between atmosphere, story, and playful exploration.
