Really fun story and unique style

Actually really good and I don't mean just "good for a free game". Either way it being free really leaves no reason to not give it a shot. If you like narrative horror games it will definitely be worth your time.

I have played tons of these kind of games, and I feel that I can pretty confidently say that this one is a cut above. There was effort put into this game. The story was DEFINITELY not what I had expected, and was done quite well. All of the NPC characters are fully voice acted. There is a good mix of cheesy/funny and spooky, and although there were a few times where I rolled my eyes a tad, it all came off in a good way overall. Technically speaking, the game ran great, looked great, and the controls are simple and easy. The game has VSYNC, which a lot of these kinds of games seem to forget (take notes, devs). Virtually no jank to be found here. I will be totally honest here... there was one thing that I hated. The game starts off really well, and I was very invested in the atmosphere and general "just progress and experience the spooks" vibe that the game had for the first half of the game or so... and then the dev threw in a segment where you have to run away from an invincible enemy that kills you on contact while you are trying to progress. And then another one not long after. Now to be fair, those are the only two sections of the game that have chasing/avoiding enemies, and they were both (potentially frustratingly) doable, but that's part of the problem. 95% of the game is just your standard horror-puzzle-story-spooky experience, no threat, no combat, no stealth, no running, and then BAM... better run, sucker! It took me completely out of it all. The fact that I had to redo parts over and over again did not help matters, since it was all very smooth sailing with the game up to that point. If the rest of the game wasn't SO good, I would have definitely had harsher words here. I hated it, but I was invested enough to suffer through them, and that is a pretty rare thing for me, so take this for what you will. If you want a really good FREE horror game, you should check this one out. A playthrough takes 1-1.5 hours (more if you die 1000x in those two sections that I mentioned). I'm glad that I played this.
