Microstrategy
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2823628247
STORY
Available. The old king leaves his son, that is, our hero, to rule. We have to survive in this strange, dangerous world.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is a minimalistic turn-based strategy that takes place on one screen. We need to extract resources, protect the settlement from the dangerous darkness that is trying to destroy them. Consider the pros and cons of the game, sum up.
PROS:
+ Very simple but nice pixel graphics. + Good music and sound accompaniment. + Interesting looking strategic system.
CONS:
- It is very easy to lose if you do not follow a certain algorithm.
CONCLUSIONS
If you look into it, then the game may be of interest as a simulator of creating a full-fledged kingdom. Yeah no, this is not fun. Your goal is to keep your self alive as well as your kingdom but you will die allot and when you die you have to restart from day 0. To get events you need to find the right person to talk to, and this you must do manually every time. During events you make a choice, and that is the game so far but i already lost interest so i wont be playing this no more. A waste of money in my opinion but some people might like this type of game.

This is a game I wanted to like. With its appealing graphics and simple premise, I thought it might be up my alley. However, the execution is rough. The English translation is generally comprehensible, but very rough. The text scrolling speed is slow and not customizable. Some menus overlay over others, which isn't terrific UI design. The price/yield of items isn't displayed when purchasing them - turns out you meed to go see your adviser, and he will slowly list all of the prices. This is a good concept of a game, but it's an alpha state. It requires a lot more work in order to be worth one's time, but if the developer does spend the time on it, I think it can amount to something.
I'm a King is a simplistic 2D retro pixel "kingdom simulator" where you govern a kingdom by talking to your advisors, which in turn will trigger an RNG event that you must then make a decision about. Your decisions and actions will affect what happens to you or your people, they or you can die fairly easily, so you would then need to restart the game. The graphics are a godawful monochrome ripoff of JRPG style pixel "art", which is used to cover up a lack of budget/talent from developers to arrange contemporary PC level graphics. The translated English in the game is quite poor and full of errors. Gameplay itself is an unpolished and unimaginative mess... RNG and procgen are never an acceptable substitute for adding a proper story/level flow to a game, although understandably in this case the game aims low to begin with. The end result is a low quality game with poor visuals, poor writing, and poor game design. It looks like a JRPG with worse graphics and all the RPG aspects ripped out. It plays like a time management/RNG mobile app, like Dead in Bermuda. The nicest thing I can say here is that this isn't a lazy asset flip, the developers genuinely wanted to make a proper strategy game, they just lacked the skills and competency to do so properly. Regardless, there's no excuse for charging an insane $10 USD for this mess. $10 USD will get you proper city building/kingdom management games like Stronghold, Mount & Blade, Civilization, all kinds of games that are far better than this.
There is a very interesting enigma wrapped in a mystery going on here. I really want to get into the game more, but the translation is rough. I feel certain that after a conversation we could work out some smoother edges to the translations. Thank you! Love the game! Keep: Doing It!
english translation need a hell of alot of work... very jarring...
The presentation is great, and the mechanical foundations seem solid. And while there is no tutorial, you'll figure out the basics quickly enough. Unfortunately, the rest of the game isn't this competent. Each day will come with a few tasks to do, but you aren't told where to find them, and so have to repeat at least three dialogue trees per day to check. While the small mistakes in English aren't a big deal when talking to people, the intent of some choices becomes impossible to decipher -- and because there's no follow-up, you have no idea what you've just done or what the effects are if you take the poorly worded options. I think the game could be salvaged, but what's here isn't currently worth playing unless you're literate in Russian, which may be substantially better.
Nice idea, but very poor execution. The UI is hell (many unintuitive clicks needed to perform your daily kingdom management tasks, very slow text scrolling speed that can't be changed, botched windowed mode), most dialogues are badly worded to the point that they become hard to understand, and the choices are constrained to just a few words' descriptions, often poorly chosen, making it hard to make an informed pick. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3027570836 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3027571024
I played a similar game and thought this one would be as fun, but it looks like it is either a money grab or a passion project gone cold. wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it. I only played a couple hours trying to get all the achievments but the effort is not worth it
