Paid $4.00 for a bundle of 10 VR games so 40 cents for this game and I still feel ripped off. Looked promising with the cartoon story start, once into gameplay turned into a pile of mutilated cow ♥♥♥♥. Would prefer to be abducted by Aliens and have my arsehole prodded for days on end than experience this game again. Not the worse VR game but just unneeded in the sea of VR mediocrity
Got it in a cheap bundle, but had an eye on this game before. The marketing did a great job designing the store page, indeed. The game itself is average VR mediocracy. Install -> play for some minutes -> uninstall. Do not further bother, it is not worth your time, especially with some really good games we got in the recent months for our Vive. Even for the cheap price I cannot recommend the game as it is just another - and not a good one - Wave shooter. fun cheap and simple verry good but now it never works with xbox controller used to now just makes u quit game when u press a button plz fix
cheap game, okay graphics, works fine. problem is, its pretty much no fun at all to just stand there, shooting waves of aliens with an crosshair'ed gun.
тут написано упровление с клавеотуры и мыши но почемута я не могу зайти в игру
I got this on sale. Glad I didn't pay full price. Game starts off really nice with a nice story book intro. Then you're stuck with a stationary wave shooter. That wouldn't be so bad if it were semi-interesting, but the enemy types are pretty uninspired. They just walk slowly towards you. The aiming seems odd too with a targeting reticle always in the distance. Throwing a grendate is also very weird. Just a very bland game overall. There's so many wave shooters and this one is just average to below average honestly. I played this with Oculus Rift and Touch contollers do work. Rating 4/10 bleh
Wave shoot for cheap, nothing exciting
just a basic wave shooter, dont expect too much. but hey its cheap so we shouldnt expect too much im not a big fan of wave shooters but if you like simple wave shooters with little variation then it does what it says it will do not recmmended for the type of games I like, but recommended to those who like simple wave shooters (you nkow who you are)
Warning: Asset Flip! The Purge Day is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper ripped off a bunch of Unity assets from the Unity Asset Store and slapped them together to make a minimum viable product... a barely working VR tech demo. It's a static shooter, you just stand still and look around a stolen Unity asset pack and shoot waves of Unity asset monsters. You can't move around because the developer didn't know how to do VR locomotion... unsurprisingly, asset flip scammers aren't actually good at being game developers, but these fake game scams are never intended to be real games for gamers. It's a serious accusation about asset flipping, so here's evidence, most of the gameplay takes place in this stolen asset, the Unity Set Builder - Hong Kong that was actually created by real developer, Tlc_indie. The developer here took other people's assets, put his name on them to claim they're his creation, and slapped a price tag on it. This guy wants YOUR money for other people's assets. Disgusting, isn't it? Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. For starters, it's a 10 year old asset flip and it's aged like milk. The mismatched game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality, it's a wonder why they couldn't be bothered "borrowing" higher quality assets for this asset flip. This is a lot like going on a shoplifting spree but only stealing the cut price store brand goods. Regardless, the poor quality assets alone should be enough to deter gamers from bothering with this. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. Those technical flaws drag this game well below the minimum quality standards expected of a modern PC game. The Purge Day didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "That’s how it works", which you get pretty much just for starting this garbage and playing it for a couple of minutes, trivial to get, but less than 3 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, even the people who own this game weren't interested in it. This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 140,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! The Purge Day is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Дрянь.. не тратьте время и деньги. Это просто тир, но с отвратительной графикой..да и всем остальным. Уж тиров то на VR красивых и атмосферных предостаточно.
