I Fetch Rocks

Super cool game if you like spaceship design and logic circuits.

Definately a niche market game. If you enjoy VR and are looking for a complex ship simulator this is def your game. Every wire, every component has a purpose. Upgrade your ship, build complex automated systems, or just fly around and fetch rocks for companies. Its up to you. This is a sandbox VR game and it doesn't force you to do anything. You can do contracts or build anything you want. Some items are unlocked from doing special contracts so they def help, but you can build anything if you know how to. Lots of various ores to collect. Dangerous radiation fields exist away from your ship. Very solid game at time of posting this. 20 hours in with no noticable game breaking bugs. There are some misspellings in their documentation, but the fact it HAS documentation to help you learn this game is already amazing. Fun little race game as well if you want to challenge your flight skills in zero G, also simulates inertia like space engineers or something. This game is comparable to it in regard to building ship systems, just not the ship itself. It compares to stationeers in the sense that it simulates data transfer and logic circuits, again, no base building, but this isn't about base building. Its about fetching rocks. :) Very chill game if you want it to be, or you can venture out into the radiation belt and try your hand at finding more rare ores or you can just poke around with logic circuits in the dock in sandbox mode which unlocks all the modules and tools with no limit to setup whatever you want. I do suggest that you play the game in career mode if you want to experience more of a "content driven" gameplay where things are unlocked and have some small element of progression. TL;DR - VR is required! - Its complicated but if that's your kind of game you will like this. Well documented Space + VR + Customizing and logic circuit control. If you like starship simulator, you'll like this game. If you like stationeers, you'll like this game, if you like space engineers, you'll like this game. If you like Call of Duty, you won't like this game. If you like Shooting and fighting games, you won't like this game.

This game is great. It's even better after the 1.0 launch with multiplayer and performance improvements.

Game seemed great however at some point the controls just bugged out. Not matter which button or slider i pressed it would always take me to the next room in the ship. As i could not adjust thrust or direction in this state the ship crashed and I reached my Quit-Moment.

So much fun to wire up your own flight controller, generator, and life support systems. Would highly recommend starting with an empty ship. Spiritually, a puzzle / optimization game.
