This game is trying to be something that it's not. It's trying to be deep when really it comes off really cliche and somehow confusing at the same time. For 5$ it just isn't worth it. If you're REALLY interested then wait for a sale, but I hate to say that it's just not interesting or even long enough to justify the current price. I will say that the art direction is great! I like the PS1 style graphics. Don't like the camera though. Because of the placement I just stared at an ass for like 30 minutes. To be fair though........it was a pretty nice ass.
A walking simulator that feels more like a way of conveying an emotion or state of mind in an artistic way. I'm guessing the sounds, symbols, objects, and everything here have a deeper meaning for the creator than for anyone else, but it's wide enough to make you find yourself in those words, to identify moments in your life that felt similar. At some points the narration reads like a poem, creating very meaningful quotes! I have no idea how I got to this game on Steam, but I'm grateful because I got to know the developer and all their others projects! : )
Great experience overall, and a lovely story with a weird and unique delivery!
Like a quick bad dream you have in a night of fitful sleep the day before your therapy appointment that you've been dreading. The music and sound are all fantastic, just an absolute beauty of an experience.
It's like watching an old movie as a kid, turning around and catching your dad crying. It's honestly a poem more than anything, evocative scenes one after the other in your own time. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you think this is your vibe I'd say it's a cathartic $5 or whatever well spent.
You walk down a highway scattered with the memories, artifacts, and angels of someone's life, each one a node that prompts a small piece of poetic dialogue. There's a lot of textured sound that bleeds in and out as you walk the linear path, placing emphasis on presence and meditation rather than active gameplay. Stopping frequently to enjoy the sound, it took a little under 30 minutes, and I found it very soothing. Think of it like a private note someone passed to you that tries to put complicated feelings and memories into words. It's small and intimate and might help clear your head of your own anxieties for a little while.
Sweet, well written, and with the most heart-wrenching music choices. Loved it.
For the walkers unsure if they are coming or going.
This is a short game. It's actually hard to say if it's even considered a game. I'd consider this more like a poem with interactive elements, and it's a poem I liked. If you are the kind of person who will open up their mind to what video games can be, I recommend this 100%.
It left me feeling things. 20 minutes well spent. Glad I bought and played it. I think you should too.
