I Am Overburdened is a silly turn-based roguelike full of crazy artifacts and a "hero" who has 20 inventory slots.

Great game
It's a roguelike so of course it will be relying on RNG, but the case of the case, the RNG is both frustrating and uninteresting. It's not so interesting to die to no fault of your own because you had a critical miss a few times in a row, and getting no good items early. Nor is it interesting to start off with good equipment and being able to snowball into a regenerating one-shotting machine. There is very few meaningfull choices that you can have any impact into the game. People have described it as a slot machine, it is very accurate. It might be for you if you like games where you can feel lucky (or unlucky), but then there are so many other roguelikes that have this luck after too! If Slay the Spire or FTL are too "intense", and you want something more chill, then there's plenty of good auto-battler where you can feel the luck without all the tedium, but this game has a few. The walking speed is a bit slow, and the music is not it's strong point. I reached the ending on normal mode after 1hour of trying. I felt like it was on no part of my own, and all about the RNG the game ended me. I have no intention in trying my luck again in higher difficulty. I know I can do it (if I am lucky)

Get it on sale, it's a $2.49er The meta is simplistic: Increase speed and attack, so you can preemptively strike enemies. That's it. If you don't, you slowly die by attrition or don't scale quickly enough to beat the boss. All three outcomes are pretty monotonous, so I can only enjoy this game in really small doses. The gimmick, that you have a bunch of inventory slots, is what makes it fun. You like finding loot, choosing between a held item or a drop, and buying stuff in shops. These little dopamine hits keep me coming back for a braindead but oddly satisfying timekiller. I guess it accomplishes what it set out to do. But I wish that it had aimed to do more, because there's the core of an actually interesting game here.
I'll give this a thumbs up i guess. I went in with some pretty high expectations from what i was seeing but if i'm being honest. I beat the game in about 1.5 hours. I havent done nightmare mode or anything else yet but it doesnt really feel like theres a point? I'm pretty sure this is an independant developer and so am glad to have supported this game but there really doesnt feel like theres much to it. If they ever came back to dlc it or something i'd be all for it again but having played through a few times i'm already over it and feel like i've seen almost everything. All that being said: Solid roguelike. I love how many places there is to put equipment but it feels underutilized and I was kinda hoping to feel somewhat OP if i got something for all slots but I really didnt. I felt pretty average and I think thats what got me. Without knowing what i was going into, seeing the pots and pans and veggies and meat and such I was thinking at first "Hey this is cool, you delve for your crap but you pick up this stuff to improve the inn or something! cool!" but no its just stat improvement stuff (which again, doesnt really feel like i'm getting much improvement... i had like 60ish defense at one point and everything could still hit me for at least 1 point of damage. At no time did i feel like collecting all that stuff helped me along the way. Anyway, enough rambling. There you have it. Take it or leave it. I still say its a fun go with unique ideas but it can use improvement in some areas.
Games a blast and the problem I had running the game was quickly responded to and fixed, good job team : )
SImple but awesome. Especially for this price. Just buy and play it!
Relaxing little rogue-like dungeon bash with crunchy pixels. Amusing graphics and sound. Fairly easy to get 100% achieves. Will make you feel resentful towards blue hedgehogs and engagement rings and positive about mad people's leather jackets and police officer gloves. /nods Tips: playing windowed, try size 3 or the text pixels are little bit too crunchy. Spoilers
- Lighting candle creates elite (more hp) mobs

- Random artifact achieve requires selecting random legacy item from chest and entering game via treasury

- When all else fails, whip the Raven
In a world where magic disappeared - and so did backpacks - you dive into a dungeon in search of a wizard who also happens to be Big Bird. It's a roguelike, you can play it in like 20 minutes if you know what you're doing, it's got two endings depending on what you do after you yeet the Blue Bird of Happiness off this mortal coil.
