I am Future is basically a good-looking rooftop hamster wheel. There's a ton of work, followed by more work. However, satisfaction is in short supply. Pros -- It's beautiful -- There's a flying backpack with a lovely smile. -- There are lots of crops and crafting materials (Although, other than to find worms for fishing, I don't see the purpose in farming. So far, everything that I need is easily found in the 'wild'.) -- There's a simple mini-game where you strip appliances for parts. Cons -- The other characters are machines. All they do is give fetch quests and hint at food recipes. The game could have launched without them and they wouldn't be missed. The minions' personalities aren't any better. At least they're useful. -- Every victory is immediately stymied by a brand new obstacle. There's always some new thing that you need that you cannot find, buy, or make because it requires something else that you cannot find, buy, or make. -- You can build an impressive suspension bridge in order to reach another building. Yet, somehow, you can't find a way to traverse the small gaps in the roofs that are absolutely *everywhere!* That thing that you need? Yeah, you can't get to it. -- Electrical wiring can't make it across those gaps either. It's the long way or no way. Grr... -- Upgraded tools don't net new materials. For example, there are so many types of saw blades. Yet, they all harvest the same kind of wood and metal that was available hours ago. I am Future is basically a good-looking hamster wheel on a rooftop. There's a ton of work, followed by more work. However, satisfaction is in short supply. There's no story to speak of, no real impetus to continue. I've played the game as long as I have due to sheer stubborness and determination to see what comes next. Unfortunately, the answer is not much. There's grinding and there's more grinding. Sadly, I can't recommend a game on the basis of busy work alone. Off the top of my head, similar games that have done it better: Kentum Mr. Prepper Astrometica Breathedge The Planet Crafter Havendock Disclaimer: My computer is always on. My hours played reflect gaming, as well as other things, including sleeping.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game has a very short story to it. The long journey is the grind for the achievements. Still worth it.
Pretty chill survival game. I recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing, low-stress experience with some light progression and lots of cleaning, but I do have a few thoughts. The Good: - Progression feels rewarding. Unlocking new recipes and areas takes some time, but never feels grindy or overwhelming. - Cleaning is simple yet very satisfying. - The music is catchy and sets a nice atmosphere. - The visuals are clean and pretty. - There’s more story than I expected (even if I wasn’t too interested in it personally). The Not-So-Good: - As survival games go, this one is pretty light. Eating only matters because running out of energy drains HP, and hitting 0 HP just makes you faint. There’s no real punishment beyond that. Many food recipes look appealing but aren’t worth the hassle—cheaper, simpler foods work just as well. - Enemies are basically nonexistent. Normally I wouldn’t mind, but it makes features like barricades and defense turrets feel pointless. I only crafted them to complete the “all recipes” achievement, not because I ever needed them. - While cleaning is fun and well-paced with your progression, the extra space you unlock feels underutilized. Aside from the starting area, I rarely needed the additional cleared space, which felt like a missed opportunity. - There’s also a particularly painful achievement that requires crafting tons of materials just to fill cracks in areas you’ll never use. It ends up being a long, empty grind with no real payoff. Overall I only recommend this game because I was looking for a brainless, relaxing survival game and it delivered that. But if you’re after something with more of a challenge or a deeper survival experience, this probably isn’t it.
I Am Future is a cool addition to the cozy game genre - adds some new things that are fun to do as you deconstruct items, and but also some annoyances that perhaps came with half baked ideas during creation that weren't fixed prior to the end game. Much of the grinding on this game, comes from YOU not understanding where the developer put different controls, or, didn't fully explain how things work. Grinding here, is simply you thinking that you need to do more farming, or more deconstruction, etc so that a new option will open, or a new area of the map. In reality, its more because key options are almost hidden in places that don't make sense. For example, you have a workbench where you can craft things. That includes parts and resources, but also equipment for you. You have a robotic hand multitool which is a great idea, but, you would think, that upgrading that tool, would also be on the workbench. And you'd be right! BUT, there is a completely different workstation, with a completely different name, that creates modules, and those modules make your hand work better, or faster..... But you have to go to the workbench that controls your drone for expeditions to find that option...... Another example - You are given a little droid that can move things - your own equipment and workstations (great idea), but ALSO things like bushes and trees - this is great, because your energy generators run on plant matter, so, putting all the bushes right next to your energy, allow you to harvest them quickly, and dump them into generator, During the game, in order to advance, it will tell you to "move a vending machine". So you use your little droid and nothing happens, You have to access a menu, that is hidden under a droid icon, and then find that machine, then click move....... BUT, you don't do that on ANYTHING else. You will only find that option because you have literally cut down everything on the world trying to upgrade your little droid, only to find out it can move everything except that specific object. Another example: To upgrade work stations and resources that you build, there is a yellow tab on the top of the input screen (where you select what the machine is doing). It says "Upgrade". Well, some items don't have the tab, instead, they have a round button with an arrow on it.... Honestly, by the time you are done with the game, will rethink all the time you spent grinding thinking that was what you needed to do, only to find that the menus, or the places to make changes, are not consistent through the game (like they were designed by different people, in a different country, using a different language, and they never realized that they were implimenting features differently. There are some half baked ideas (expeditions for one), which allow you to pilot a drone to specific way points to pick up supplies, The supplies are things that are easily found at your base though, so, whats the point? It allows you to access vendors, but there is no "store" for you to visit. Unlike other cozy games, you can't sell things like your crops, so the emphasis on farming is much less - staying fed and healthy is extremely easy. The food doesn't buff you other than allowing you to carry more when fully fed. The bad guys, come in the form of some alien plant that spawns bugs, and those bugs just eat crops or food on growing on bushes - you can go to sleep and ignore them if you want, and if food sources are near their spawn point, they will leave your farm alone. The game doesn't explain this well, but you can easily barricade them with stuff you build and they stay in their little zoned off block of space - way before you get defenses to kill them. Killing them produces resources that you need for upgrades and improvements. But you can never kill the spawn points. The robotic helpers that you can "automate" are nice - but until you build recharging stations and buff their speed, they don't help too much. I have one that just waters the plants (but I have to desalinate the water manually until one of the last upgrades to my water faucet). You can get around this by placing many rain water collection barrels. I have one that just feeds plant matter into the energy generators (saves so much time for me), and one that does the best thing of all in a cozy game..... it collects the stuff that I can't grab because i have run out of inventory space.... It just operates 24 hours a day, grabbing stuff left on the ground, and placing it in a storage chests..... Takes the edge off of trying to figure out what you will drop and leave behind. So, a lot of really good ideas for a cozy game, but the biggest drawback is the wasted time NOT knowing that a menu exists somewhere, with the next step to be done, and you won't find it until you are about to throw your hands in the air and watch youtube videos on how to accomplish a step....
This game is the definition of "i'll just quickly do this one last thing and then i'll hop off", but you never actually hop off. You slowly unlock one thing at a time to keep progressing, and it just keeps you hooked. 8/10. I forgot about my family.
I really enjoyed the game at first – taking everything apart, exploring the rooftops, and playing through the story. However, it quickly became very boring. The story is too short and superficial. At the end, all the open questions are answered with a brief text message, which was a real shame. Even taking things apart on the roof was fun at first, but eventually just became annoying because it was always the same thing. The endgame is pure grind; the player's time is completely disregarded. I find it a real shame, as the game truly has the potential to be so much more. If you buy it on sale and don't expect too much, it's okay, but it's definitely not worth the full price.
+- If you have OCD and hoarding issues great game to feed them. +- no enemy pressure only cosy + colourful - story is negligible
