Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which you scour Hypnospace's wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you'll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.

Crawl through Cyberspace: Scour the darkest corners of the Web for scumbag users who violate Hypnospace law!

What an absolutely delightful game, from start to finish. Beat it in around 14 hours (I read a lot), used some hints here and there, mostly on the final stretch. I admit I wasn't around for the 90's and y2k internet, I only got to use some XP, and mostly Vista/7 2010-2012 as part of the "classic" internet. Still, this was a very enjoyable experience, I was very imersed and had tons of fun reading page after page of these fictional people and mourned them be it by my own reporting and flagging of them or otherwise. This has definetely shaped up to be one of my favorite games of all time.

This game is incredibly cool. I feel like I'm the exact target audience, as someone who not only had both a Geocities AND an Angelfire page but also someone who loves to explore random articles and do deep searches. I loved all the things in this game, except for maybe the constant misspellings. We used shorthand, but we weren't all idiots who couldn't spell. That and the idea that someone creating internet webrings would want to get rid of the nerds. Anyway, this game is really amazing in a lot of ways and I absolutely do recommend it for everyone to play. That said, I think I played it at the wrong time because it just wasn't hitting for me the way it was supposed to. I also didn't love the interface, especially in the second half of the game.

Gemaplys estava certo quando disse JOGUE ESSE JOGO, mesmo aqueles que não gostam de ler muito em inglês, deem ao menos uma chance, principalmente se você for dos anos 90' quando viu todo o escarcéu do bug do milênio. É uma experiência.
Absolutely immaculate game and probably one of my favorites of all time. I am such a sucker for the older internet aesthetic, which is what drew me to this game in the first place. The story is fantastic, the character's profiles make them feel like they are real people, the music is fantastic... what more is there to say? I mean it when I say this game was such a unique experience. I often say that I wish I was able to forget the events in the game completely so I can play this masterpiece again from the beginning and experience the magic all over again <3
