Never understood the musical craze of Guitar Hero, but I understand Hyperbeat. You move your little buddy around a circle to hit different types of buttons on screen. It has a synthwave soundtrack that you wanna dance to too. The varying difficulties ease you into a game that if you dare to play the hardest difficulty feels impossible to master, but that is a skill issue on me. You unlock cosmetics to change your look that is a way to encourage trying to perfect each song on each difficulty, that has millions of combinations possible with the vast array of color options as well. The style of this game is so unique and the story was kind of both wholesome and sad that could be a form of therapy if you want. You can ignore the story and only play the songs, but you will enjoy it half as much. The only issue you might have is the style of music is only electronic music that focuses on beat drops so don't expect playing normal songs, aka boring or slow songs. There are only 20 songs in the game. They have an editor to create your own, but the game is super niche and so don't expect alot of songs unless this game magically sells more. I loved Hyperbeat and they added multiplayer after I finished the game and would love to return. I've been playing the soundtrack for months after beating it which is a good sign for a music game. 10/10 better than Everhood 2

Game is good
This game is well-written and has gorgeous graphics, and even though it's a challenging rhythm game and I'm not usually into this genre, I'm having a blast!! Highly recommended!
a very fun time, loved the core gameplay and the goofy cast of characters!!
Fun rhythm game that scores position and timing, which really makes you engage with the songs. Very accessible overall, but the higher difficulties are cracked (in a cool way). Catchy music and chill vibes a plenty. The characters are enjoyable too, cracking jokes and talking about philosophical topics like creativity and social connectedness.
cozy and relaxing
I could not have stumbled upon a better rhythm game. Hyperbeat blends smooth gameplay with a interesting story that develops with each NPC you meet. 10/10, would recommend to anyone who enjoys rhythm games
Very fun, the dialogue keeps bringing me back and making me think about what every character was saying and how it applied to me. Remember to enjoy the journey!
The gameplay is really fun, it feels great default note colours have awful contrast so change that in accessibility settings as soon as possible lol The characters are amazing and i love all of them
