For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Hue is a thoughtfully designed puzzle-platformer that builds its entire identity around a single, elegant idea and then explores that idea with patience and creativity. Developed by Fiddlesticks Games and published by Curve Games, the game introduces players to a stark, monochrome world where color itself is the key to progress. You step into the role of a young boy searching for his missing mother, and while the premise is simple, it provides a quiet emotional anchor for a journey that is far more about perception, curiosity, and understanding than traditional platforming challenge. The defining mechanic of Hue revolves around the ability to change the background color of the world. As the player collects different color fragments, new hues become available, and switching to a specific color causes objects of the same shade to blend into the background and effectively vanish. This mechanic transforms the environment into a living puzzle, where walls, hazards, and platforms can appear or disappear depending entirely on perspective. What makes this system so effective is how naturally it is integrated into play; instead of feeling like a gimmick, color manipulation becomes an intuitive extension of movement and exploration, encouraging players to constantly reassess what they see and what they might be missing. Early puzzles are deliberately straightforward, allowing players to internalize how colors interact with the environment without overwhelming them. As more colors are introduced, the game gradually layers complexity, combining multiple elements into increasingly intricate scenarios. Later puzzles often require careful observation and experimentation, asking players to juggle several colors in quick succession while navigating timing-based hazards or spatial challenges. The difficulty curve is well balanced, rarely feeling unfair, and success typically comes from a moment of realization rather than brute force or trial-and-error repetition. Visually, Hue makes striking use of contrast and minimalism. The world is largely composed of silhouettes and clean shapes, which allows each burst of color to feel purposeful and impactful. When a new color is unlocked, it doesn’t just change gameplay — it alters the emotional tone of the environment, making progression feel tangible and rewarding. The art direction supports the game’s themes beautifully, reinforcing the idea that perception shapes reality. Complementing the visuals is a subdued but evocative soundtrack that leans on gentle melodies and ambient tones, enhancing the game’s reflective atmosphere without ever distracting from puzzle-solving. Narrative elements are woven subtly into the experience through letters, brief interactions, and environmental storytelling. Rather than interrupting gameplay with lengthy exposition, the story unfolds quietly, inviting players to piece together meaning in much the same way they solve puzzles. Themes of loss, connection, and understanding are hinted at rather than explicitly stated, allowing the player’s interpretation to play a role in how the journey resonates emotionally. This restraint gives the story a sense of maturity and avoids overshadowing the gameplay with sentimentality. From a mechanical standpoint, Hue keeps its platforming accessible. Controls are responsive and forgiving, and the game prioritizes puzzle logic over demanding reflexes. While there are moments that require precise timing or careful movement, the emphasis is always on thinking rather than execution. For some players, this restraint may make the experience feel gentle or even short, as the game can be completed in a modest number of hours. However, the concise length helps maintain focus, ensuring that the central mechanic remains engaging without being stretched thin. Reception among players and critics has reflected appreciation for this focused design. Hue is often praised for its originality, strong visual identity, and the way its core mechanic is consistently reinforced across puzzles and narrative. Criticism tends to center on its limited scope and lack of mechanical evolution beyond color manipulation, but for many, this singular focus is precisely what makes the game memorable. Rather than chasing variety for its own sake, Hue commits fully to its concept and explores it with clarity and care. In the end, Hue stands as a strong example of how a simple idea, executed with confidence and cohesion, can carry an entire game. It offers a calm, intelligent puzzle experience that rewards observation and curiosity while delivering a quietly emotional journey. For players who enjoy thoughtful platformers that value atmosphere and concept over complexity and spectacle, Hue remains a standout title that leaves a lasting impression long after its final color is revealed. Rating: 9/10
This game is cute! The puzzles are sufficiently challenging and the art style is beautiful. The story is touching and interesting to move through. I recommend this game to any indie-game enjoyer.
