About
House of Lost Souls is an atmospheric first-person narrative game where the tragedies of the past come alive within the walls of an old family home. You play as Jack—a man who, years later, returns to the place where he once lost everything.
Long ago, he witnessed the murder of his own parents here. Now, the house calls to him again, feeding on his pain, whispering from the darkness. I really want to like this game, it has so much potential. The voice acting is flat and emotionless, so many jump scares but no atomsphere. The story is weird and feels inconsistent, There is a lot of potential here Id give it a 4/10
Can't play it, because it doesn't have the basic feature of inverting the Y axis. Last update was a month after release and the dev doesn't answer any inqueries or bug reports. Unfortunately it seems abandoned -> money thrown out of the window.
just dont play it
The game was really good, the graphics were good as was the storyline. The only thing that could be worked on in my opinion is to work on the ending to make it better but overall it was a really good game. I will be referring this game to others.
This game was so spooky. Good jumpscares, no to much and well placed. Sometimes it is a bit of search what to do next. Overall a very good game.
House of Lost Souls – Review I went into this one hopeful, but it really didn’t deliver. While there were a few solid jumpscares, the overall experience fell flat due to recycled assets, a strange story, and AI-generated voice acting that ruined the atmosphere. I love supporting indie developers, but this game just didn’t hit the mark. Their previous release MosGhost was better for sure. ⭐ Rating: 3/10 (A couple of scares keep it from being a total loss, but overall not recommended.) ✅ Pros: A few decent jumpscares that genuinely got me. Indie dev passion is always worth supporting, even if the execution missed here. ❌ Cons: Recycled assets make the world feel generic and uninspired. Story is confusing and doesn’t come together. AI voice acting kills immersion — real actors, even budget ones, would’ve made a huge difference. Short experience with little replay value. Final Verdict House of Lost Souls has brief moments of tension, but overall feels like AI slop with little originality. I hope the developer takes the feedback to heart, because there’s potential here if more effort goes into story, originality, and proper voice work. TL;DR: 3/10 – Some jumpscares, but the rest feels hollow. Not recommended in its current state.
THIS GAME IS ♥♥♥♥ ,, SORRY FOR MY SELF FOR WASTING MY MONEY & TIME DONT PLAY IT !!
The only redeeming quality of this game is the jump scares, but even those got predictable after a while. Story, voice acting, and overall game play weren't great. That's an hour and 30 minutes of my life I'd pay 7 bucks to get back.
