This game is exactly why I love buying these indie horror games. Once in awhile you find a complete gem of a game like this one. This game takes approximately just over an hour to complete, but has multiple endings encouraging multiple playthroughs. + Excellent immersive sound effects, crying, ghosts, screams, weird occult noises throughout + Deep intriguing story which is revealed in a completely wild final act of the game. + Graphics and art style completely immerse you into the game world. + A few jump scares made me jump out of my skin + Genuinely creepy, play in the dark + Excellent music in the car rides and final credits - Retro graphics may turn off some, however the game is available to play in 4K and the world is well designed 8.5 / 10
This was a lot of fun! I was successfully 'jump scared' at least three times, which isn't an easy thing to do anymore. Is it worth full price? Maaaaaaybe! There are a bunch of achievements, and the gameplay loop was enjoyable. But it's a little short. I managed to beat it in just over an hour. Thumbs up!
Water Delivery is JUMP-SCARES at its finest! First Look Recommendations YouTube TikTok
Water Delivery is an incredibly dark and twisted experience wrapped in moments of unexpected humour and levity. It's my favourite type of indie horror, a little janky around the edges, yet somehow it still finds room for absurd charm, like the brilliantly cheeky copyright skirting shirts (AB/CD, Hike, etc.) that give you a light hearted breather. That said, this isn’t a game for everyone. It tackles deeply mature themes including suicide, nudity and psychological trauma; so streamers should be mindful of their audience before diving in.
Water Delivery
I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this game, but given the unique concept I was pretty excited to check it out. Water Delivery wound up being a lot of fun, and I am glad I took a chance and tried it. Definitely more creepy, than outright scary (although there are a few startling moments). Game length for me was a little under 1.5 hours, and I missed a few of the secrets. Hopefully that helps you determine your price point. This one hit REALLY hard for me personally. The atmosphere reminded me a lot of the month I spent in the Philippines, so the setting felt weirdly familiar and immersive in a way I wasn’t expecting. It made the horror feel more grounded and believable instead of just “spooky game.” The tension was amazing for such a simple concept too 😭
Water Delivery is a slow-burning horror game built on an intentionally mundane loop: deliver water jugs, collect empties, take payment, and move on to the next house. On the surface, it feels almost meditative, but that simplicity is exactly what allows the tension to creep in unnoticed. Each home introduces different characters, layouts, and requirements, and keys — hidden differently at every stop — quietly become the most important mechanic in the game. What starts as routine work slowly becomes a test of awareness, as subtle environmental changes and unsettling encounters begin to stack up. The horror escalates gradually rather than relying on constant shock value. Scares become more frequent, the tone grows heavier, and the narrative starts revealing itself through disturbing implications and moments that linger long after you leave each house. The mansion finale serves as the game’s emotional and thematic climax, tying together the choices you’ve made along the way — especially your attention to keys. I strongly agree with other reviews that streamers and players should be warned: this game contains explicit language and heavy themes including suicide and child abuse. These elements are not handled lightly, and they directly inform the ending tied to collecting every key — an unsettling but oddly fitting resolution centered on saving the children. Water Delivery isn’t perfect, but it is deliberate. The pacing is steady, the progression feels intentional, and the experience flows smoothly from start to finish. It’s a strange game with a stranger ending, yet everything feels cohesive in a way that makes sense once the full picture comes together. If you’re looking for a horror experience that relies more on atmosphere, discomfort, and narrative weight than constant jump scares, this one is worth your time — just be prepared for what it asks you to confront. — The Ember Archives https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45601239/
