Game, pastime, puzzle, art, educational, full of colors. A true artistic masterpiece. The game contains 102 beautiful images of famous paintings, they are divided into 4 categories: 1 Classics 2 Abstract 3 watercolors 4 Modern art The difficulty is customizable so you choose how many pieces to divide the puzzle into or the shape of the cutouts. After choosing your favorite painting, while you work on it you can use the menu above: Divide the border pieces, Zoom , Ghost Shape , and Hint . We have the opportunity to visit a large exhibition of paintings comfortably from home, the music is very suitable for the theme that is proposed, these are classical pieces inspired by classical music composers of the 18th and 19th centuries, very pleasant and relaxing to listen to . If you don't complete your puzzle and you still have so many pieces to attach, there's an autosave feature so you'll continue where you left off. There are many artists and painters from whom they have chosen the paintings, I think it meets the tastes of many people. I think it's a great product well made and pleasant to play, I recommend it because I find it a good idea to know art with relaxing entertainment. I noticed that by reconstructing the images it is possible to find colours, particulars and details that we certainly do not see when looking at a complete picture. House of Jigsaw: Masters of Art is a jigsaw puzzle game developed by Graphium Studio and published by Denda Games. Like the previous puzzle games by this developer, there isn't a story here, so I'll just jump right into the gameplay. House of Jigsaw is a collection of jigsaw puzzles that are themed around famous works of art from artists like Monet, Rousseau, and Rembrandt. When you first start up the game, there are four groups of puzzles, one consisting of 27 puzzle pictures while the other three consisting of 25 puzzle pictures. All of these groups and puzzles pictures are unlocked, so you can play them in any order that you wish. You can customize each puzzle based on the number of pieces (30, 120, 300, 600) and the puzzle shapes. Basically, you can make the puzzles as easy or challenging as you wish. You can zoom in and out of the puzzles as well as use a ghost hint, which shows you what the final picture is supposed to look like. There's a help button as well if you get stuck on how to proceed. At the time of this review, there aren't any Steam achievements or trading cards, and the game itself won't count towards a user's global total game count until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". Now that I've gone over the gameplay, I'll move onto my critique. I enjoyed the developer's previous games (Puzzle Pieces 4: Farewell Dear Winter and Puzzle Pieces 5: Fairy Ring), so I was happy to hear about another jigsaw game on Steam. This time, the theme is famous works of art, which reminded me on how much I'd enjoy visiting art museums and gazing at beautiful works of art. With that, I'll comment first on the gameplay. The game itself ran fine for me. I was able to complete all of the puzzles without any difficulty, and I liked how I could customize them for a challenge. However, like the developer's previous puzzle games, there's still that issue with the windowed size mode. It isn't much different from full screen mode, and the devs should take note of this. (I prefer to play games in windowed mode and not to the point that the game screen fills up almost all of my computer screen.) Also, unlike the previous puzzle games that I played, there is no bonus group of puzzles that can be unlocked or anything like that. Thus, I was able to complete all of the puzzles in this game more quickly compared to the previous games. Of course, the highlight of this game has to be the art. I enjoyed gazing at recreations of famous art pieces and completing jigsaw puzzles in order to view them. There's a variety of art from the classic to the abstract. If you don't get a chance to view the actual paintings in person, this game is a pretty good substitute. In regards to the music, there's only one soundtrack (other than the one that indicates when you complete a puzzle). However, it gives off that classical music vibe very well, and it gave me that feeling of being in a museum, quietly gazing and admiring the paintings. Still, it would have been nice if there had been more tracks to give off a bit more variety. Overall, would I recommend House of Jigsaw: Masters of Art? If you enjoy jigsaw puzzles, enjoy gazing at beautiful works of art, want a relaxing game, and don't mind the lack of Steam achievements and whatnot, then I feel like it's worth taking a look. Now, if you're fairly adept at completing jigsaw puzzles, you might finish this game quickly. Based on my gameplay hours, I'd recommend holding off for a good sale although I found it fun and relaxing. ^^
Flying free and writing reviews solely for The Introverted Gamer.
A very relaxing casual jigsaw game for a quick game session in between games or on a rainy sunday. Although I had a minor bug I enjoyed the game.
