The interesting visual style sadly fails to make up for the lack of enemy and weapon variety, the boring boss battles, terrible enemy ai, lack of proper item balance and massive performance issues. I ended up beating the game on my second run after just over half an hour of total playtime, mainly because the slowdown was so bad that the final boss practically ran in slow-motion. Now don't get me wrong, this game isn't terrible by any means. The concept and foundation are solid enough, but it really needed some more polish. Skip this and play OTXO instead.
Could not recommend this game more, it feels good and looks so cool as well. Fast paced fair gameplay and lots of upgrades. And kinda pulls me into it with the crazy graphics. For the price tag this is well worth a buy.

Fast paced gameplay. Very easy to learn controls. Cool theme with a vast array of items that keep things fresh and lend to very exciting moments. Simple, fast, and fun!
Ok…maybe not as fast paced as I’m used to…but ok
"House of God" is a short twin-stick-shooter-roguelike with great sound and gorgeus, trippy visuals. Aesthetically it is quite on the sensory overload side, which can be confusing gameplaywise (sometimes you lose track of your character and sometimes it is hard to tell if you got hit). Also it is light on content (3[+1] main weapons, 4 bosses, some actives, some passives, thats it), but I personally enjoyed these "shortcomings", because it is a refreshing counter to all the roguelikes(lites?) out there with tons of unlockable stuff. Here you just boot it up and hope to get to the ending, which can be tricky, but fairly managable. For 3 bucks an easy recommendation for genre fans that like the weirder stuff!
HOUSE OF GOD is a nice 5$ hotline miami-esk game with lots of nice little item combinations. if it was more then 5$ i would not recommend this game as it is very short only about 10 minutes for a completed run i would expect it to be even faster if you had good rng or great skills. but considering its price it is a fun little game to play if you got money to spare
If Teleglitch and T.B.O.I had a baby it would be this game
