Video Review: https://youtu.be/nRzsEwqnio4 I know this is a tough sell but this game is really good. It's just insane how fast it is and how many balls you need to keep up at a time. The blocks slowly lowering gives me the freaking sweats. I ended up playing for FAR longer than I expected. I'm pretty sure I'll end up going back too. It's a really smart take on some mechanics that you've seen before.
Nothing works in the menu other than pressing 'Play'. Cannot access settings at all!! No keyboard buttons work, nor does the controller (XBox One Elite) directions or buttons. Game is also stuttery periodically running on an i7 with 1080TI. Probably looks much nicer in a decent resolution if I could change it, but given its stuttery in a low resolution I doubt it will play well anyways. Game play itself seems solid though, which makes this rather disappointing purchase given the bugs. Recommend avoiding this one :(

This new breakout style game is both a joy to play and a pleasure to watch with its beautiful graphics, perhaps the most beautiful breakout style game I've ever played! This game offers a ton of statistics and challenges to keep you playing it again and again, and it is well worth its asking price here! A very solid choice if you like these types of games! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJPfwMNMgqU&feature=youtu.be My Score: 90% Definitely Recommended! * I want to thank the developer for the free evaluation copy of this game, however free copies of games never have any effect on my overall opinion or score for any games I review.
Pros: -addictive -replay value -cheap/value for money -looks amazing -feels great -fun with friends -that soundtrack Cons: -better with friends
I can confirm current theories on the plasticity of the brain, as mine has melted after playing this relentless, addictive and visually stunning game. Highly recommended for everybody.
I began to play reluctantly. Then I was on the edge of my chair. No, no! You don't understand, my butt went towards the edge of the chair and my tummy tucked in. It was exhilarating. PROS: - Looking forward to play this weekend!. - Slo'mo matrix mode when you are about to die - Controller support - Epilepsy inducing flashes and colors - Greatly entertaining as well as educative (although I'm not quite sure about what I'm learning here) CONS: - Not fully missed, but It needs multi-platform coop as well as local ASAP. - Current level of epilepsy inducing flashes and colors not enough for a 360 puke around experience. - The wife is too busy with work and won't play with me. I always try to pay full price for good new games with Linux support. Works gorgeously on Fedora 28 + 4K + AMD RX 580. Good job, devs!!
A fun little arcade game at a pretty reasonable price. It would have been nice to see a few more powerup blocks besides just the bomb and extra ball ones though as gameplay does get somewhat repetitive after a while. Other than that this game is definitely worth a buy (especially if it goes on sale).
Colouful, engaging and challenging, HOT PINK takes the basic "breakout" gameplay and elevates it to a whole new level. While it remains true to its roots, the music and bright colours brings a great deal of energy to the game, which coupled with a scoreboard, gives you the drive to play just one more round. With each session being only a few minutes long, it lends itself to be the perfect game to play when you have a busy schedule but challenging enough to always come back for more. Overall, it is a great example of refining and elevating a beloved classic for the modern age. Example of gameplay (played with a controller): https://youtu.be/Dgq_yWTDISQ
At a certain point you know if you'll like Hot Pink - if you enjoy breakout style games you'll like this. However, this seems like the platonic ideal of this kind of game. It's fast paced with great music, great visuals, and goals/challenges that make it an addicting, "just one more play" kind of game. it's a great game to play to decompress and relax, and it's definitely recommended for that.
A modern take on the classic Breakout. The lights are flashing, the beats are banging and your paddle is ready to juggle some balls. 8/8 no debate.
