HopDodge

Fun game, with enjoyable evolving concepts.

HopDodge is an incredibly charming and fun platformer puzzle game that I think anybody can enjoy! Both the top down and 3D aspects of the gameplay work in tandem for a fun experience. The puzzles in each level are very enjoyable and provide a good challenge. The platforming is also very satisfying and sometimes requires good timing, taking a couple tries until you’ve got it. Some levels are harder than others but none ever felt unfair and there wasn't a level I didn't enjoy! Artistically the game is also great, I love the simple graphics and hop looks adorable! The game is readable while also having a very unique and abstract digital style. The writing and story can be witty at times and is an overall good aspect of the game. But what I really enjoy is the soundtrack. The sound effects are nice (especially hops very cute sounds) but the music is lovely! I've adored listening to every track that plays throughout the various levels. Overall HopDodge is a game I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a fun experience, even if you don't typically play platformer or puzzle games. When I finished the game my first thought was that I wished there was more. Personally for me the $10 price tag is worth the experience of the game and the effort the developer Blank put into it. I’ll certainly be buying any future titles :)
