About
Tommy Tronic - an old-skool platformer that isn't trying to be anything else! Jumping, shooting, dodging and exploring is all that's required to help get Tommy to his destination and free his tiny puppy from the clutches of an insane genius school-kid and his brutal sidekick 'Biffa'. It would be straight forward too, if it wasn't for the fact that this journey will take Tommy through Gnarly wood; a twisted and eerie forest that adults avoid let alone tiny children! Imagination runs amok as Tommy confronts his childish fears head on, all in a bid to be reunited with his beloved pal 'Yapz'!

My son plays this mostly, he gives it thumbs up! I recommend it too ;-)
ETA ---- I have found that the game is broken at the end. You hit all the switches in the final level, then the screen tears, and you fall into nothingness. So a proper ending can not be seen. Further, on reading in the discussions, I see that the game has been reported to be this way over TWO YEARS ago. And the devs have done nothing about it. And Steam continues to sell a broken game ---- unacceptable, so I am changing my recommendation. Who wants a game without a proper ending?
It's Tommy Tronic!
This is a game I really wanted to like. I have a soft spot in my gamer heart for cartoony platformers. This looked like such a great Keen-esque platformer that I bought it on blind faith. Bad mistake. It's a horribly simplistic, buggy exposition of what it looks like when a video game is made from the ground up to hit a marketing goal. Someone said "old school is in right now, Halloween is cool, push this game out" and this horrible thing was patched together as quickly as possible. I'm pretty disappointed in both Interplay and Steam for signing off on the distribution.
A lot of people don't seem to like this game. (I guess if you expect platforming and controls similar to Supermeat Boy, that could be a problem.) This is a fun little game that reminds me of Commander Keen (sans pogo stick) and a little of Metroid for some reason. If you want a game that lets you brag about how sooper-1337 you are, don't buy this. If you just want a fun casual game, give this a shot!
Очень бодренький платформер с приятной аккуратной графикой в стиле старых-добрых видеоигр, маст хэв.
Keen Lives
The good: It's a classic side scroller. The graphics are really crisp and sharp. It can be beaten without tricks. The enemies are varied, as are the weapons. Stages are varied, although more so in the second half of the game. It'd be a game you could let your kid play. The longer you play, the more you'll get used to the controls and enjoy playing. The bad: It's got some bugs. It suffers from a severe lack of polish. Some levels you'll have to restart simply because you used keys on doors that are pointless (trial and error). The controls take a bit to get used to due to a weird jump that has you glide down. Overall, it's not one I'd recommend, but it's not as bad as some of the reviews indicate. I mean, if you got it for a dollar or two...it's worth it.
tommy tronic sweeps the competition
https://youtu.be/bsahksJEiWw Tommy is a simple boy with simple goals, rescue his dog from captivity. Along the way however he's besieged on all sides by aggressive tomatoes and drunk gnomes. Fine movement is difficult with the animation and aircontrol that causes Tommy to slip off platforms easily requiring the replay of many areas or waiting again for slow moving platforms.
