the best basketball game there is the UI is amazing and the quality of the gameplay is great one note do not use mouse and keyboard for the games use a CONTROLLER

good basketball 2d game. Reminds me of retro bowl except basketball. Also able to mod in nba and college team. Career mode is very fun. Better than 2k in my opinion, would buy if you are a basketball fan.

I wish this was available back in the day on SNES but glad it does now. This is just fun arcade action that anybody can just pick up and play. With the mods it turns the game into so much more. Love this game and am excited to see what other games this developer will make in the future!

jogo simples, mas bem feito e tendo suporte do criador com muita constância e isso faz a experiência ser ótima, modo carreira muito bem feito, gameplay simples mas com várias possibilidades, gráficos simples mas bem polido, boas animações e excelente comunidade, sem dúvida um jogo que quem gosta de basquete vai gostar bastante. Lembrando que com a possibilidade de adicionar ligas é possível jogar em qualquer liga até mesmo as de anos bem anteriores graças a comunidade que está sempre lá no discord sendo criativa. Esse jogo realmente me conquistou.

I've been playing basketball video games since before they had the three point shot. [u]Hoop Land[/u] tries to hide behind a nostalgic mask, but there's never been a basketball game quite like this. If you've ever wanted to make your own way through the collegiate ranks and hopefully into the world of professional basketball, Hoop Land lets you do it. The mechanics are not as arcade-y as NBA Jam, but they aren't as realistic as the mid-90's NBA Live series either. There's plenty of dunks and blocks and threes to go around, with some playcalling and screen setting that work just well enough to get the flavor of it. There's sliders to tinker with until it feels the way you think it oughta feel, and league customization is robust. If there isn't already a mod for the level of basketball you want to play, it shouldn't take much tinkering to make it from scratch. All of the players sprites are the same size regardless of their in-game heights and weights which can be a little confusing at first, but I think that trying to stretch or re-scale them would end up even worse. My only serious complaint is rebounding. Because of the limited 3D perspective, its hard to tell where the ball is heading. I wish the shadow of the ball was a bit darker to help establish that it is it vertically above me and not laterally "higher" up the court. Some games you get used to it, though. So, to summarize, its got the modern RPG and management play modes of "the big basketball franchises", without the pay to win nonsense, its got the best of the Super Nintendo era of basketball games, sim and arcade, and its only got a wee little bit of the inevitable jank of compressing a sport like basketball into a pseudo-3D or, with the older projection option, a truly 2D environment. Lots of options to customize, lots of sliders to adjust to your exact style of basketball, its a great game and maybe my favorite in the genre.

This game is basically nba 2k but without the sketchy pay-to-win bullsh*t and in a nice retro-pixel setting. The AI is a little bit dumb sometimes (randomly taking half court jumpshots, despite me beeing wide open, only for the ball to hit a innocent spectator sending him unconcious to the ground). 10/10
