Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game which invokes the original feeling of a true Homeworld BUT there is no ultrawide support. Please developers add ultrawide support! This game is a truly cinematic experience.
RTS na pustyni, gdzie zamiast budować bazę w spokoju… walczysz o każdy kawałek piasku jakby to była ostatnia działka nad morzem 😄 Wysyłasz jednostki, planujesz taktykę, czujesz się jak generał… a potem wróg robi jeden sprytny manewr i nagle twoja armia znika szybciej niż wypłata 💀 Epicki klimat, wielkie maszyny i decyzje, które brzmią mądrze… dopóki gra nie powie „sprawdzam” 😅

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's a thumbs up, but it's more like a 6/10 for me, mostly saved by having somewhat original mechanics. The game has some nice mechanics, in particular, the veterancy mechanic in the campaign, and the fact that you keep your resources and army between missions. The rock paper scissor is also well made, with multiple soft counters and hard counters that don't feel too oppressive while giving multiple viable strategies. On the other hand, the campaign is just way too short, you reach the end before you know it, without feeling a sense of climax. I'm also not a fan of the infinite waves of enemies because the AI as unlimited resources... The story is probably one of the worst aspect of the game, it is flat, uninteresting with a few twists that you either don't care about or feel very random. It's a shame because at first, it felt like there could be some interesting world building behind it, but it's mostly uninteresting sci-fi gibberish mixed with various religious monologues.
If you enjoyed the other Homeworld games, you will enjoy this one as well. Even though this one is 2D only and the playfield is more or less level terrain, many mechanics from earlier games are immediately recognisable. IMO, an excellent game.

No pause or skip during cutscene. Game breaks when PC put on sleep mode.
was skeptical - but its good. Enjoy
I think this is my favorite Homeworld game after the masterpiece that the first game was. It's the game that best matches the tone and the presentation of the original, and it successfully translates the mechanics and the vibe to a desert setting. Everything from how you control the game, to the music, the cutscenes, and the writing, is the same as the original, and this is a good thing. However, what brings it down is the story. The overall concept is fine. This is the story of the expedition that went to the site of the ancient spaceship whose discovery started the events that later led to the first game. I'm totally on board with that. But not much of interest happens along the way. Without getting into too much detail, in the original Homeworld every mission had some kind of interesting gimmick that set it apart from the other missions. In this game, many missions feel more or less the same. You either have Gaalsien in your way when you try to proceed on your journey, or you need to make a pit stop and the Gaalsiens are on your tail. Occasionally new "discoveries" are introduced, but most of the missions feel like the minutia of being on a journey somewhere, but with the complication of Gaalsiens being everywhere. So overall, to me the story is underwhelming, even if the vibe is spot on. As for the strategy aspect, I feel like this isn't a very sophisticated game. For the most part, you will not be starved for resources, and will be able to maintain a "ball of death" that usually can handle most assaults. The ability to do aerial strikes almost feels like a cheat, as you can just destroy entire fleets of enemies without actually sending out your forces. Some of the offensive objectives can be achieved with just air strikes. I'm actually not a very big fan of strategy games, so the fact that I wasn't forced to do StarCraft-like micro management and was still able to get by is a positive thing for me, but if you're looking for a deep strategic experience, this is probably the wrong game for that. With all that said, I still recommend this game, as it is the most Homeworld game in the series aside from the original one.
the game itself is a good strategy game, the problem is you have to install epic game's overlay
1this is fun. not quite Homeworld... but i like it
