Imagine the hit game this would have been in 1990.

It seemed like a good fun concept, however I don't think it was executed well. I disliked the fact that everything you attacked had so health to get rid of with weapons that did so little damage, if you ran out of ammo, you was stuck and can't progress and have to die on purpose to just try and do it again without missing a single bullet etc. Then having a one hit kill on yourself just made it more fustrating 7 minutes is not enough time to execute everything you need to do before the burglars got into the building, even when knowing where everything was, but the time I managed to get to the basement the burglars are already in the house before I can even set up the traps. Having more time to set up, with a timer displayed and maybe a little more health like a 3 strike count or something would be a huge improvement. It is very frustrating just dying over and over again to the point you don't feel it is worth it. The game doesn't feel rewarding in anyway. Due to these factors and how short the game is (it's only made longer because of the fact you keep dying over and over again right at the start with barely any progression), I don't think the price is worth it.

Game is CLUNKY as hell , even on Low.

Probably one of the best games I ever played, I really enjoyed the aspects of the developers attention to detail. The game is just literally so perfect. It really can't get better at this point, it could stay like this for years on end and I would not even care. I just really like how detailed everything is and how its so similar to the real movie. It really does make me feel like I'm home alone on a dark knight while my family is going on a vacation without me, it might seem sad but it really does come down to the truth about how I wanted my family to disappear the knight before because I made a whole mess at the kitchen because my older brother, Buzz wanted to act cool and eat my pizza, before this act all happened I was scared because my whole family was going on a vacation to Paris, my aunt told me to pack my suitcase and I've never done that before! so I asked my older brothers and they gave me no help, it really disappointed me how no one in my family has any respect for the younger people! They really have to learn how to be nicer.. anyway my oldest brother Buzz, he was in the kitchen after he told our dad that the pizza was here, but I was late to the dinner table and Buzz..... ate my plain cheese pizza. But that's basically how I got into this whole mess, I am still scared that it will happen again.

Purchased this as my curiosity got the better of me . For the price tag I took a shot of running it on my steam deck. It plays fine. A bit glitchy and buggy but to be expected with the price tag and type of game. Gameplay wise the it's OK, nothing to be jumping out your seat about. You gather and collect weapons and materials for traps . Certain areas like the basement and attic I would recommend avoiding till you have your sling shot . The ammo you have runs out quick and in these areas you are trapped till you kill enemies. So there is a bit of strategy involved. This is home alone , how they got away with it I don't know but it's a fun game . With a few updates and tweaking it would be great. I would recommend on the basis your aren't expecting a polished game but there is fun to be had and at the price tag I think its worth a shot . Put it this way its better than the snes and sega versions of the game from 30 years ago

this is a home alone game if it was made 15 years ago. i have only speedran this game and its fun. i recommend 10/10

It's so much easier after the update, but we still need to be careful with ammo - it's very easy to waste it. Anyway, after many failures, I finished that game with pleasure. I love that Christmas vibe :D
