A quick narrative game in the vein of To the Moon. The writing is top notch. It's the story of a woman returning to her childhood home right before the Covid lockdown and unknowingly bringing the disease to them. The family is...repressive and controlling. A domineering mother, an enabling but loving father, and two siblings desperate to forge their own unique identities despite being trapped in seclusion from the wider world. The game is fairly short. About two hours. Most of it is dialogue and exploration that fill out the world and the story. It's sometimes funny, sometimes emotional, but always interesting enough to propel you forward.

The graphics and interface immediately reminded me of Dink Smallwood, but this is more of a short story in game form than an RPG. All the objects you can examine are described in fantastic detail and all the characters seem well fleshed-out. This game is excellent if you're after a good story.
A realistic narrative that builds a unique yet somehow familiar setting, Home: A Quarantine Story will softly resonate with anyone who can’t decide if their heart is with the home they’ve made for themselves or the home they grew up in. I’ll admit it doesn’t look like games I’m normally drawn to, but it’d be a mistake to judge this visual novel by its graphics. Home: A Quarantine Story is, may I remind you, free, so there’s really no reason not to pick it up.
COVID-19 salgını sırasında evde mahsur kalmayı konu alan anlatımlı bir macera oyunu. To the Moon, Gone Home ve Night in the Woods hayranları için.
Despite the poor graphic effects, the story is surprisingly quite engaging. It focuses not on the Covid itself, but rather on the relationship among family members, in particular a daughter seeking independence and personal development and a dictator-like (and even somewhat anti-science) mother, when they are forced to be lived under the same roof. It is actually a very good and unique perspective for telling a story. Unfortunately, the game ends abruptly at its peak, with a lot of things remaining unanswered. I really hope that the author could make supplement or a sequel to this game, so that we could see a more smooth full stop.
A relatively short story about how family and the concept of "home" can be as poisonous as it is comforting. Detailed descriptions of items throughout the house breathed more life into the characters and character relationships, and the relationship between the main character and her mother in particular was quietly unsettling from start to finish—especially because it leaned into believable emotional manipulation tactics.
A visual novel that uses the RPGMaker engine. Suffering through dialogue with a bunch of family members wouldn't normally be appealing to anyone, but Kyle Muntz is a talented writer and manages to pull it off. The blatant sexual tension between the brother and sister was surprising, but not out of place, considering the setting and characters. Update 12/14/23: Just played through the whole game. The ending seemed sudden, as if more was planned for the game but the developer decided he was done working on it. Or maybe the point was for it to end there all along and use your imagination about what comes next? I don't want to spoil the ending but it's a pretty well-written and relatable plot, and that's what makes it all so scary. There's a lot going on here. I said it before, but Kyle Muntz is a talented writer. Much of the game's length is padded out by being able to examine a multitude of objects. I was wrong about the incest route though. It was there at the beginning, but then it was completely dropped. I still would've liked to see a proper ending, or maybe multiple endings...I don't know. Can't shake the feeling that it's unfinished.
It's a terribly depressing story of a woman who was living in an apartment and he comes to visit her family home. She gets verbally abused by both parents. I like the siblings. Is forced to work hard labor as a pregnant person and is emotionally manipulated into staying by both parents. Even though all they do is yell at her and tell her she's lazy.
