Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 29 → 0.14/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 15/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

《Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?!
I think I would to recommend it.
Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! embraces the studio’s signature formula of lighthearted simulation, whimsical humor, and pun-filled absurdity, this time transplanted into the world of espionage. From the moment you inherit a spy agency and begin recruiting potato-shaped secret agents, the game makes it clear that it isn’t interested in realism or gritty covert operations. Instead, it leans fully into a cartoonish, parodic interpretation of spy fiction, presenting familiar genre tropes through a playful lens. The tone is consistently cheerful and exaggerated, creating a welcoming atmosphere that invites players to relax, laugh at the potato puns, and enjoy the spectacle of running a deliberately silly intelligence organization. The main loop revolves around developing your spy agency from a humble base into a bustling HQ full of specialized operatives, training facilities, gadget workshops, and high-tech investigation rooms. You recruit potatoes with different class types, improve their stats, unlock gadgets and vehicles, and send them out on missions across a world map filled with parody-laden regions. Mission planning sits at the heart of the experience: each assignment has recommended skill thresholds, potential hazards, and a suggested team composition. Deciding which agents to send, which equipment to prepare, and how much risk to accept offers a satisfying, if lightweight, management rhythm. When everything aligns—a well-trained team, solid gadgets, and favorable mission conditions—the game provides that classic simulation joy of watching your plans pay off. The game’s writing is one of its standout strengths. It gleefully riffs on pop culture, spy movies, and even its own universe, dropping references and jokes with a steady cadence. Conversations among your agents, flavor text, and briefing notes are all infused with this goofy energy. The consistent humor keeps the world lively, and the bright, expressive art style helps reinforce that sense of charm. The visual presentation—bold colors, exaggerated character portraits, and clean UI—complements the accessible design, making the game easy to follow even during busy stretches where you’re juggling multiple tasks. As entertaining as its premise is, however, the game’s limitations begin to show once you’ve spent several hours with it. The management mechanics, while enjoyable at first, don’t evolve in meaningful ways. Missions follow similar structures across chapters, and the balance of assigning spies, equipping them, and waiting for outcomes can become repetitive. Because you do not control agents during missions, success often feels determined more by preparation and underlying randomness than by skill or strategic adaptation. Even optimal team setups occasionally fail without clear explanation, creating a sense of disconnect between effort and reward. This reliance on chance undercuts the feeling of agency the game initially promises. Another design issue lies in the campaign pacing. The game introduces story missions that come with strict timers, and if these deadlines are missed, the player can be forced into an abrupt game over. For a title that presents itself as relaxed and approachable, this punitive mechanic feels out of place. It pushes players into rushing, undermining the otherwise leisurely tone. The problem is amplified by the narrative structure, which doesn’t always clearly signal the importance of certain missions until it’s too late, leading to sudden failure states that feel more frustrating than challenging. Resource management becomes increasingly demanding in later chapters. Money and materials can feel scarce, forcing players to grind through smaller missions to keep the agency functioning. While some level of pressure is expected in a management game, the balance here often veers into tedium, stretching the playtime without adding meaningful complexity. Upgrades and facilities eventually start to feel more like mandatory chores than exciting milestones, especially as the game’s strategic depth plateaus. Despite these weaknesses, the game remains appealing for those who enjoy light simulation games with a comedic flavor. Its charm comes not from deep mechanics or elaborate decision-making but from its personality—the quirky characters, the goofy worldbuilding, the sense that the developers had fun creating a potato-themed spy parody and wanted players to share in that delight. When embraced as a casual, humorous diversion rather than a rigorous strategy title, it performs exactly as intended. Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! is ultimately a cheerful, colorful management sim that delivers an amusing, if shallow, espionage adventure. It works best for players looking for a playful escape rather than a complex tactical experience. The humor, the art style, and the premise carry the game further than its mechanics do, and while repetition and randomness weigh it down over time, its charm remains intact. For fans of the Holy Potatoes! series or anyone who appreciates cozy, comedic simulation games, it offers a pleasant—if not deeply lasting—experience. Rating: 6/10
