Hollowbrook - Apartments

I liked the game. The artstyle, the humor, the atmosphere. The only thing that i would consider a negative would be that it's so short. I would have really liked it to be longer. Maybe another hour or so. Like being chased around the block. Anyway, i do rate it 7.5/10

“Hollowbrook – Apartments” is a retro horror game that evokes strong nostalgia for the PS1 era. It has a bit of humor, several jump-scare moments, and even one or two puzzles — which already sets it apart from many short horror games that are mostly just walking simulators. While it’s not anything extraordinary, the game is definitely worth its two-dollar price tag. On top of that, it ends on a cliffhanger, so I’m genuinely looking forward to the next episode. I love episodic horror games and this game did not disappoint me nor my stream. We all jumped at every jumpscare, they weren't overdone either, which is a big plus in my book. Loved the story telling, the gameplay was smooth and I'm already looking forward to more episodes. Big shoutout to Jakob with a K, that guy had us cracking up.

Loved the first instalment of Hallowbrook! I don't play a lot of horror games, however I really enjoyed playing it. I am a pretty jumpy person naturally and this game didn't disappoint to scare me. Fun for my stream to watch! :)

I enjoyed this very much. The new girl moves to a new apartment and the same old cliche of neighbourhood danger lurks, I don't mind it if utilized properly. Great aesthetics and ominous atmosphere with tense build of story. You can kind of work out who the killer is by first impression after meeting all the characters. The sewage area annoyed me because I hate stealth haha, but for the story it worked well. And this is not the end, hopefully the story continues which I look forward to.
