Reviews
Le jeu est bien mais c’est dommage, tu sens qu’ils auraient pu faire plus. Je trouve le potentiel pas très exploité. Ça reste un bon jeu pour les fans de l’univers d’Harry Potter.

Runs smooth as butter on the Steam Machine at 1080p on my TV. Love it!
Well, I can safely say that visually, Hogwarts Legacy is pretty. Combat is quite fun, for a while. Until you realise that you're just fighting the same, like, five things. This game has some serious flaws. A wooden cast of puppets you really just can't care for. A main character that is given the illusion of choice yet left ultimately, consequence free. It's a bit lacking on the representation of it's location, you know, being set in the highlands of Scotland. I think maybe there were two Scottish people I encountered? Your classmates? Vacuous NPCS that feel like they are just arbitrarily jammed in there to be quest givers. Yawn. Yet it's biggest flaw? The game is shallow underneath. There's plenty to do (more than I'd ever wish on my worst enemy - don't waste your time trying to 100% this), it's just all... hollow. Don't get me wrong, there's so much to do, but it's so pointless. Design decisions that make me cringe - like watching the same Merlin animation a hundred times because you need to unlock just a bit more space in you inventory - awful! There's nothing underneath the veneer. I bought it at it's lowest price, so I think it earned that for a accurate representation of Hogwarts and short bouts of fun between achingly long hours of dull, uninteresting characters, but that's it. It's a grindy, grindy game that feels like the designer was someone who worked on MMOs and never learnt how to entertain anyone. It had probably one good quest, which most people are likely to miss in Hogsmeade because it's a side quest and the rest of the game goes out of it's way to make you hate it. But this quest? A great little horror adventure with twisting walls and clever tricks that felt like a honour to Control... but then came the reward. Absolutely pointless "owning your own shop" which I kid you not, is just another vendor and nothing more - You put all that effort in in that quest as developers and you thought that the result was good? Basically it sums up the game perfectly. Shallow. Deeply, deeply shallow.

As someone who's a very inexperienced gamer (I've literally only ever played one other game, which is The Witcher 3), I really enjoy this game overall, and here are the main likes and dislikes at the top of my head: -Likes: Runs well even on a mid-quality laptop; lots of cool and varied things to do in addition to the main storyline; combat gameplay is great; a lot of NPC's with really interesting stories and conflicts; the various options for gear and hairdos and the Room of Requirement are really fun to me personally; the world and its visuals are beautiful -Dislikes: Your choices in dialogues make little to no difference to the quests/storyline; suspension of disbelief is required for the overall insane concept that professors and other adults would ask a 15yo for help with/to take part in all these extremely dangerous things, not to mention that a 15yo would be able to take on a bunch of fully grown wizards/witches alone and win, even without the use of Legacy magic; very nitpicky but the Alohomora-stuff just annoys me cos it's not challenging by any stretch, it's just a time thief; some of the side quests quickly get very repetitive; the Keepers' trials are annoying as ♥♥♥♥
