Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best CN #32, worst US #90 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 48.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 124.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

very fun and i liked doing all the cool spells and exploring the castle, kinda glitchy but i still enjoyed it, would probably play it again 8/10

As you can probably see, I played a decent chunk of the game. However, I never finished the game. It’s not a bad game but it’s not as amazing as everyone else makes it out to be. I still recommend it but understand that this game is probably not going to be for you if you’re not a harry potter fan. I’ll detail what I think are the good and the bad about this game then you can decide for yourself it it’s worth picking up (especially on a sale) I’ll start with the setting and the story since this is pretty much going to be the main reason why anyone plays a harry potter game. The setting is amazing! Hogwarts was probably everything I’d imagine it to be in a modern game with so many intricate details happening every time you walk down the halls or the courtyard. Other places like the forbidden forest and Hogsmeade are really cool to explore. The rest of the map is gorgeous but not quite as exciting to explore just due to them not really being featured in the books or the movies. Unfortunately this ties into the story a bit. Hogwarts itself could be considered a character in the stories we all know and love. It has a personality and a mysterious past worth exploring. This game makes very little use of the iconic castle in the overall story. Same goes for Hogsmeade. It felt like they wasted so much of their efforts in creating these iconic places only to barely utilize it. The story itself is okay (as far as I played it, which is ¾ of the way based on how long to beat). The major issue with it is that there’s like no consequences to anything you do outside of like 2 decisions. The ludo-narrative problem is strong with this game. You’ll have the option to cast the unforgivable curses constantly without having that pesky threat of going to Azkaban for life. The game will constantly moralize at you while you cut down countless people and goblins with no remorse. When the game isn’t throwing you in the midst of a goblin war, you’ll be doing random poorly written quests for people that never really leads to anything satisfying. A lot of what you’ll be doing is incredibly repetitive for no real rewards. I suppose that leads to the gameplay aspect of this. They nailed the wizard combat 95% of the way there. There’s some really cool combination of stuff you can do if you bother to read the enemies entry in the field guide. The dueling club (while underutilized in the game) gives you a pretty good idea of how combat is supposed to flow. My only criticism with the combat is the fact that you’re limited to 4 spell slots making certain combinations trickier unless you’re adept at switching spell sets on the fly. I would have nixed the useless aiming mechanic and made the left trigger open a spell set too. Everything else kind of pales in comparison to the combat. Exploration is really cool but the charm wore off on me pretty quickly once I realized their idea of exploring was taking me out of the castle constantly to solve a bunch of simple puzzles, astrometry tables, and clearing out bandits/poacher camps. There are a few minigames associated with the classes but they stop happening when you do them the one time. After that, the classes might as well not exist. There’s no risk to exploring at night despite the game telling you to be careful outside of a couple of quests. I think a lot of this could have been helped by the gear system. However they didn’t do a good job with it. The main source of gears are clothes. There is no rhyme or reason to where you get gear. You can trek through a dungeon and get terrible eyeglasses then randomly pull a legendary item out of a bag in the open world. Thus there isn’t really a reward for doing the dungeons. You do get the option to upgrade your gear but the problem is that you’re constantly getting new stuff that renders the old one obsolete so there isn’t really a point in wasting your time upgrading anything until very late game. Realistically I think this game suffered too much by going for a cookie cutter ubisoft inspired open world approach. I’ve played the older Harry Potter games and I really think the series is better as an action adventure instead of trying to be a bare minimum rpg. I think the map size could be cut in half and would have been better for it with more of a focus on Hogwarts itself. I wanted more of the school system that I only saw a glimpse of in the game before it got shelved in favor of a mid story. Basically Bully the game would have been a much more exciting premise to play in the Harry Potter universe. Performance is okay. My 5070ti ran at above 100 fps once I turned off the ray tracing (please leave it off, It looks worse with it enabled). The game does stutters a lot when I was moving through the world. It kind of bothered me but not enough to put me off since it's never in combat scenarios and it's only when exploring the castle. The game does looks pretty good maxed out without ray tracing but it is fairly demanding so be aware of that for those with lesser hardware. TL:DR: It’s not a bad game. It leans too heavily on the harry potter IP to sell you on a mediocre game with surface level rpg features. I’d recommend picking this up on sale and playing it until the charm wears off on you. Don’t bother trying to 100% it unless you really like doing merlin trails over and over again or tracking down all the field guides.
I thought at the time that this purchase was fine. That trans representation would somehow equal things out. It does not. I was wrong. I should have just pirated it. Also, the hardest setting is so incredibly unbalanced. Some parts of the game are pure luck to get movement out of enemies that doesn't result in you dying over and over again. I play high difficulties to be pushed to optimal play patterns where input accuracy and timing are more important, but not outright impossible, like when you get stunlocked by a spider that knocks you to the ground the instant you get up again. And overall, once you get out of Hogwarts to roam free, the game becomes really boring.
