Короче сохранения нихуяшечки не работают а я такие игры не люблю хоть игра и старая мне нечего поделать с этим, но игры про колдуна нравится
i play hocus pocus thinking it's magic game but it's just jumping and shooting jelly beans. wizard can't even fly. lame. levels all look same. bricks, more bricks, then door. i keep pulling levers but nothing happen. maybe i broke it? idk. enemies are just slime and lizards. they jump, i jump, we all jump. screen is chaos. i shoot magic and it goes pew and does nothing. music sounds like circus stuck in a blender. made my ears itch. there's no map. no save. no clues. just run, shoot, get lost, cry. i fell off platform and game just laughed at me. no checkpoints. i uninstall. FINAL SCORE: 1 wizard hat outta 10, more like Hopeless Pocus
In retrospect the camera work in this game is really bad on a 21" screen. I'm glad I have access to it and I'm glad it works right out of the box, but it's pretty yucky and I don't recommend it.
It’s 1994. Your parents banned Duke Nukem and Leisure Suit Larry for violence and crude content, handing you a floppy disk with a cartoon wizard instead. Apogee’s Hocus Pocus was the ultimate parent-approved consolation prize, and it turned out to be an absolute blast. The moment that Apogee logo faded from your CRT monitor, your Sound Blaster card kicked into overdrive. Bobby Prince’s main menu theme is a core memory—a bright, bouncing FM-synthesis masterpiece with driving bass. It was so catchy you’d sit on the menu just to hear it loop. Parents were beautifully tricked. It looked like an innocent fairytale, but played like a frantic action shooter. Hocus didn't hop on heads; he blasted imps and ghosts with rapid-fire energy bolts. Potion power-ups turned your attacks into laser blasts, delivering a Duke-style adrenaline rush in a G-rated fantasy skin. You couldn't just run right to win. You had to explore massive mazes to find hidden crystals and unlock the exit gate. You shot fake walls to find treasure and used super-jump potions. When things got too tough, typing FEELGOOD instantly refilled your health and granted a lightning spell. Hocus Pocus is pure, arcade-style DOS fun! I haven't played much on Steam as an adult, but it was endless hours entertainment over the summer holidays in 90's. I would definately recommend this for anyone who enjoys modern platformers.
Hocus Pocus uses its cute graphics and storytelling to make for a smooth ride through the game's atmosphere spread out across extremely simplistic combat. All you have to do is pay attention! Everything the player picks up in the levels is laid out without ambiguity and with clear indication-- nothing's hard to find unless it's supposed to be. The feedback when enemies take damage is very clear and the 'boom' when they blow up is satisfying, especially during White Potion segments. Certain parts of levels are set up so that the player is meant to charge through while taking damage; the rest involves casually jumping around back and forth while avoiding getting hit. Once you get a feel for the type of game this is, the levels are extremely easy to 'read' and understand what you're supposed to do before it comes up on-screen. Set the gameplay speed to fastest and play on Hard, and it'll be well worth it.
