Hipster Attack is a classic tower defense game with lots of humor and cartoonish graphics in which players defend the local coffee shop from massive hipster invasion with the help of corporate workers.

Crim's Humble Opinion Curator Hipster Attack feels like somewhat of an homage to Plants Vs. Zombies. It offers a few new mechanics; some of which I enjoyed and some of which I did not. There are 30 stages that are in a sort of mobile 3 star format. For each stage you get something new such as a powerup, worker to use, or enemy to face.
Mechanics
Much like PVZ you have to manage five lanes of oncoming enemies. You have to concentrate on a fair amount of projectiles such as records and sugar cubes which can sometimes be very distracting and clutter the screen a bit on top of the incoming hoard of hipsters. One of the things I really enjoyed is each class has a special move they can eventually use. There is a lot more activity and clicking that comes with this though; which adds more complication to the mechanics. It costs funding which you can get dropped in the game. It may be just me; but the levels felt a bit long. Maybe it's just to make it more challenging; but there were times I thought it stretched a bit farther than it should.
Artistic Presentation
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1499010460 This is where this game excels. The variety of character design on both sides is great. The humor of hipsters attacking corporate workers. Workers throwing job applications; Hipsters tossing records. The colors and cutesey characters work well with the theme that exists. The music is decent enough. I was hoping for a corporate boss type to kind of intro some of the stages but you can still laugh when you see him running around at the scoring at the end of the stages.
Final Thoughts
While this game offers some mechanics I didn't enjoy in my multi-lane tower defense games; the humor, art, and general originality is well worth the low asking price especially if you are into this type of title.

As someone who has dumped probably 100 hours into Plants vs. Zombies, naturally I'm drawn to Hipster Attack. Hipster Attack has some really high points, and some low points. To emulate the legendary Plants vs. Zombies, it's all about balance, which is where this title stutters a bit. The high point with Hipster Attack is in the humor, artwork, and animation. And that stuff is seriously great. The low point is with some of the mechanics. Most of the mechanics are a straight rip from inspiration, but the new ones are not great. There is flying tofu that you have to click to kill and it makes the whole thing overly twitchy and spammy. Another thing is that the battlefield gets really chaotic and it's easy to lose your cursor and even clickables. I think it's just the nature of the artwork. Pros: +Fantastic artwork and animation +The humor is great +Most of what is here is fun +Price point is great Cons: -[strike]No Vsync so the gaming rig screams[/strike] Fixed! -[strike]Needs options for larger cursor[/strike] Fixed! -New mechanics aren't great Yeah, I mean it's worth three bucks. Sure. It isn't perfect, but it scratches that itch.
cooles Spiel ist so ähnlich wie plants vs zombies
PVZ but with hipsters and corporate employees
