HikeJam is not good. It's missing a sense of purpose. They threw in too many mechanics that make it difficult for the player to enjoy playing. The principal hiking mechanic is more frustrating than fun. None of the tools you have to use are helpful. The grapple is neat when it works, but aiming it is impossible. Is HikeJam a silly physics party game or a meaningful game with competitive hiking? I can't tell you! Keep in mind this is a multiplayer game, and there's no one playing online. The bots are idiotic AND too good at the game. On the simple levels, they'll destroy you, and on the weird levels, they can't figure it out. Please do not buy it.

Despite reminding me of silly physics-based games like Human: Fall Flat (though not in a good way), [b]Hikejam[/b] is a terribly glitchy party-like game where you can compete with your friends as you all race along a hiking path, overcoming obstacles like wolves and chasms, using various tools. As the game's really very glitchy, the entertainment value you can get out of the game is minimal at best. I fell through the ground more times than I thought possible... and that's only during the tutorial. The controls in the game aren't at all friendly to players who are using the keyboard and mouse either. Maybe the game would play better with a controllers, who knows?
