nice td very hard difficult, but mega nice
Great game, lots of fun to play in a group. Builder can be upgraded with items to help with your tower strategy and towers gain xp by playing many games to upgrade stats. Game is getting updates and more content. On the discord you can give feedback and ideas to help improve the game for everyone.
F** Yeah HOG TD Baby!! My favorite TD from WC3 made into a standalone!!
I already played the original version back in Warcraft 3, so I was very excited for the standalone release. What really stands out is that the game is developed by a single developer who is incredibly dedicated: there are frequent updates, the community feedback is truly being listened to, and there are even in-game events, like the Halloween event for example – something you rarely see nowadays. I’ve been playing the game daily for about 7 days now, at least 6 hours a day, which already says a lot about the long-term motivation. Yes, the game is grind-heavy, and yes, the early game is quite challenging – but that’s exactly what makes the later progress so satisfying once you’ve unlocked and earned important upgrades. I genuinely love this game and can absolutely recommend it. I really hope it gains more visibility, because I’d love to see a larger player base for more cooperative games in the future. edit: Unfortunately, the game is being updated in a way that favors advanced players. Since it is already quite difficult for beginners, the direction it is currently taking is not something I would recommend. In the community Discord, many advanced players who have already grinded everything say the game has become too easy for them. Instead of giving those players new incentives or harder content, things are being nerfed in ways that also make the game more difficult for beginners. Sadly, this is not a direction I support, and in my opinion, it is a bad direction for the game to develop in.
So after discovering this game on Wc3, learning that it has a version on steam that will probably be updated more than the wc3 one, I can say that the main issue is the pointless grind ofc, when it's much harder to find people on steam version than on WC3 version (probably because the people already invested so much time on the map in wc3 that's they don't want to go through that again on steam). Some things are better than the map and some are actually worse. It's great that you can increase game speed for example in solo, right now the game isn't popular (and unless the amount of grind at the beginning will be lower it won't gain popularity), still have random desyncs, since even the solo mode is online, which again will make the game less appealing, look at what it did to Diablo 4 for example or PoE2. Since the problem is the monetization which is based on people wanting to progress faster I guess that won't change either. Better inventory system than wc3, better shops, targeting to a degree (still need to target enemy to activate skill instead of having an option to select the ground for AoE skills. While on the one hand progress is less random with the towers/avatars, but it takes WAY too much time to grind it. Some systems don't exist yet from wc3, like the dragons, some other permanent buffs and with the gambling RNG system it's just too annoying to play, the systems need to change, they worked for the map in wc3 when you had people to play with, so that you could share the towers, but since there aren't many people playing, it's not worth it in it's current state
Great game. You can have a lot of fun playing solo or in co-op multiplayer. It's a little difficult at first, but once you've gotten to grips with the game a bit, it offers incredible depth and diverse gameplay options. Especially when you consider that there's only one developer behind it. Active Discord community and problems/requests/improvements are actively addressed.

Fun game... but its been ages now since this came out. Please for god sake change the darn button at the start that says CANCEL. It makes literally 0 fking sence. Just make it say OK...
A Tower Defense meant for players to experiment and learn by making mistakes. The layout of the map is fixed (could change in the future) and players have to spend ressources to find towers of different tiers and factions that synergize together to complete a match. The main difficulty resides in having to adapt to what you find. This can feel challenging for players not accustomed to this sort of game, even more so since not all details regarding core systems (such as some item mechanics) or meta progression are not fully explained in the game (yet). Players have to figure out some aspect of the game on their own. While the meta progression could maybe use a slight revamp to smooth out the entry barrier into the game, at its core this game is meant to be played endlessly. It is not a tower defense where you move from one map to another. It has a seasonal system, events, raids, and meta progression which will all become more elaborate as the game evolves. These features definitely make this tower defense unique and stand in a league of its own.
