About
FURAX THE INDESTRUCTIBLE, fleshless carcass and soulless body, has arrived through an inter-dimensional rift in the colorful, carefree world of Émeyralia, to spread SADNESS and DESPAIR. Nothing seems to be able to stop him: his influence grows daily, many disciples join him and NIGHTMARE CREATURES appear on every continent.
According to the prophecy, only THE ORACLE could defeat him, but he retired centuries ago. To find him, the 7 keys held by the 7 rulers of the 7 islands of the Emerald Archipelago must be gathered. FOUR HEROES, the bravest of the brave, are chosen for this quest. The future of Emeyralia is in their hands.

This is a very charming game and the 100% positive reviews speak for themselves (happy to be the 142nd!). This is a very tight game - there is no time wasted moving from one place or another - you just click and move around the map instantly. I like how you have to survey the screen to find the hidden secrets, which lead to new areas or equipment. Your skills matter and they unlock new areas or skills to learn (from trainers scattered around the world, which reminds me of Might & Magic). Just as an example, if you learn levitation there are some nice bonus areas waiting for you...if you find them. I dig the art style, in a sea of many games looking the same, this stands out. This was a really fun adventure, something different from usual. My advice to the dev, for all it's worth, is to consider creating something more of the same - there isn't quite like it!
Divertido. Es como los antiguos juegos de rol de Might & Magic pero "Lite". Más sencillo y mucho más corto, pero si durara más se haría repetitivo.
Decent little game, especially if you're familiar with the old Might and Magic series. Nothing overly complex, fun and to the point.
A lovely, charming indie RPG, with a very friendly balance and that perfect old Might & Magic style of progression. Really good!
Good, but short. Unique, hand-drawn turn-based RPG with a surprisingly great soundtrack. Wish the threshold for getting the 30k achievement wasn't so stringent; feels like the only way to get it is to break/exploit the game and speedrun it.
Entertaining, simpler RPG. Enough going on to keep your attention, but not so much that it's overwhelming or has a steep learning curve. A good smaller experience to scratch the classic RPG itch when you aren't in the mood for a giant/complicated game
Muito bom
Not the usual kind of RPG I play (I don't have any experience with the Might and Magic games) but this was a fun, breezy, charming little game. I love that it rewards for sticking to and developing your roles for your characters. I dislike when you can become a jack of all trades, so it was fun to min-max my characters here. The world is pretty one-note, so all of the characters kind of blended together, still, its whimsical tone was always pleasant. For future titles, I think it would be very cool if there were some C&C and more world reactivity. I loved the itemization and finding unique weapons, maybe an upgrade system or crafting system that extends to weapons would be cool (e.g. a blacksmithing skill that lets you combine different pieces to form 1 weapon).
A charming wonderful game that is well worth the money and time. Loved it! Not sure I'd keep playing it but worth an initial playthrough for sure!
TL:DR; This solo indie project may not look like much, but it's crafted with care. A short but sweet tribute to old school role-playing games games, Might & Magic in particular. --- Yeah, I know the art-style doesn't inspire confidence. Hey, at least you can be sure this wasn't made using AI generation! Putting the art aside, Heroes of the Seven Islands is a homage to old school computer role playing games, particularly the Might and Magic series. So many Might and Magic elements are there: the trainers for each skill mastery, permament stat bonuses from colored barrels, the elemental guilds, traveling around by boat, an endgame score based on how long you took among other things. The character classes are well-designed but simple concepts I've seen in some time compared to a lot of the other contenders I've seen in the CRPG space. It's also short game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Each game takes about, what, 10 hours? Being such a short game, there is not a big focus on exploration. Don't expect sprawling open maps to walk around in and twisting mazes. This is an indie project by a single developer, after all.
