Heroes of Myth

Overall, I do feel this is a decent game. The replayability, IMO, is a bit limited, but it also isn't as bad as it could be. Ability to restart chapters and go back to a previous chapter is NICE, and for the most part, I enjoyed how the story was laid out and written. I think my personal biggest gripe is that the relationships, friendships and romance both, don't seem to be explored very well at all. Descriptions for appearance, as well as the ability to choose our own, are EXTREMELY limited...but this is another minor thing I'm just used to in COG products. It's still a pretty good game/story with obvious fantasy elements. I'd love to see a part 2 of some kind to tie up loose ends and expand more with the relationships and potential fallouts of choices.

I've just finished my first play-through, and I have to say, what a thoroughly enjoyable adventure. Do be warned, there are no bells and whistles to this adventure, its just text, but the story is so well realised it didn't bother me at all. The author has created an interesting world, with a wonderful cast of characters who all have their own very clear motivations. You can't please them all and in fact trying to do so does hobble you down the line. I don't want to say anymore in case I spoil something, but definitely a recommended purchase.

Excellent game book. It has an excellent premise and good execution of the story. The characters are good and well made, each with their own reasons for why they want to approach the situation in their own way and it is a fun thing to navigate those motivations while achieving your own goals. Highly recommended.

I hard a hard time getting through this story, tbh. I found its world engaging and unique, and the premise fun, and exciting. But it quickly became apparent that any choices I made would not matter to the other characters. The side characters at the beginning of the story treat you like garbage regardless of how the main character has defined their relationship, (Why give me an option if it doesn't matter). I wanted to play a good person who let their selfishness get the better of them and was trying to improve and yet I had multiple characters tell me I was the worst person in the group despite having been convinced and outright forced to do work by those same characters. I hate every character in this game besides 3, not counting the mc. The vitriol I feel over this game can't be measured. Genuinely I have never had a game respect the choices I made less, and still preach at me about how I'm wrong. I wish I could refund this.

Outstanding. I love the Choice of Games series as fun interactive stories but Abigail Trevor has set a bar far above anything I've experienced in this genre.
