good game fun and cheep

Fully enjoyable game

Solid game, branches out a lot you really get quite a few endings. Grammar is on point, story is solid no matter which branch you jump towards. The rub is there are so many options that a lot of times there is content I feel I didn't complete - in short this is an on the rails experience. I bought it full price but had played this on mobile and knew what I was getting into.

I enjoyed it, but I can't really find myself recommending it. The ending serves only as set-up for the sequel, and doesn't say anything about what happens. Spoiler alert, but you end up getting abducted by aliens and nothing you did here matters.

its ok not long tho

The good: Interesting character creation and cool power set. Can be a great power trip if you are on a good roll. Decent writing if you take it as a story rather than a game. Great illustrations. Captures the old-fashioned super-hero comics energy very well. The bad: Prone to rail-roading, it has a story and ending in mind and it will not allow you to interfere with that, you cannot kill the steel aeronaught because they need her for the epilogue. If you do decide to kill the Aeronaught, she will simply be revived off-screen by a machine that restarted her heart somehow, meaning all your effort was for nothing. It doesn't have a very good difficulty system, the higher difficulties reduce the scale of the powers you got, meaning that you are only a little more than a normal person at max difficulty. Normally, this would encourage creativity and ways to work around the powers of and exploit the weaknesses of your enemies, but instead it mostly just results in enemies who smash you over and over, you feel less like a friendly neighborhood hero and more like a punching bag who can't save anyone and just hops around waiting to be pummeled. And even a punching bag tends to be better at absorbing damage. The characters aren't written that bad, but they do seem rather simple and 2 dimensional, most of what they are can be summed up in a few sentences. "His hero name is Black Cockroach, he is a hobo who is a little wacky and tries to be robin-hood but sometimes fails. He's shockingly good at chess." "His hero name is White Shark, He likes playing steel pans and eating meat, lots of meat." "Her hero name is Tidal Bore, she is suicidally overconfident and even if you do everything for her, she calls you her sidekick." That's about it.

Very meh. Not worth the money.
